In earlier days, coconut oil was hydrogenated for packaged food or popcorn. It got a very bad reputation. First impressions are lasting and still exist today. Coconut oil ranks with olive oil as the number one healthy oil. However, with hydrogenation, coconut oil becomes the absolute worse of all the oils.

Coconut oil got a bad rap because it remains a solid at room temperature.

Most doctors assumed it would remain solid while it entered the blood, thus, would cause instant blockages. Nothing could be further from the truth. Coconut oil melts at approx 76 degrees F and becomes liquid at 80 degrees. Since the body temp averages 98.6, there is no chance of any solids entering the blood.

I would like to say good things about saturated animal fat, but the truth is there is nothing good to say about it.

Stick with the coconut oil. Its great for health.
