Default Is it good to take anti-inflammatories ?

So im dealing with prostate inflammation .. and am about to start taking Zyflamend.. new chapters anti-inflammatory product.. Ive heard a lot of good things about it..

My questions is.. in a chronic inflammatory condition.. obviously it seems wise to take a herbal anti - inflammatory..

but, isn't there a reason your body is creating inflammation? Why would it do it for no reason.. so aren't you essentially going against the natural wisdom of your body? Is it dangerous to suppress inflammation in your body? Isnt there a purpose for that inflammation that you lose by suppressing it?

then again.. chronic inflammation can lead to cancer.. but im just wondering.

I think that sometimes inflammatory switches get thrown and they can be hard to turn off. Most often inflammation, IMHO is caused by toxins or microbes.

Let us know how the zyflamed works for you. For anti inflammatory effects I have been stunned by the power of serrapeptase.. I tried Zyflamend and only ended up hurting my band account. .. .. but I have seen that different types of inflammation respond to different product... it is quite variable. You won't know unless you try. Thats pretty powerful stuff and should be goog for you even if it does not help what you are after.

So you didnt like Zyflamend? You say it should be good for me even if it doesnt help my prostate.. then why did ya stop taking it? What type of inflammation were you dealing with?

I wonder if I should try serrapeptase.. im getting more into Enzymes.. i bought a few books on them. I have had great success with digestive enzymes so I believe they can work wonders..

Well the herbs in Zyflamend are very powerful and likely good for anyone, especially for the vascular system. But no one can say for sure if it will help your prostate. You can only try. It does seem to help quite a few people for different things.

Inflammation is tricky and there is no one single remedy. Unless you use a prescription drug that whams all aspects of the the inflammatory process it is hard to find just the right product for you. Those prescription drugs are dangerous. They can destroy your body.

Inflammation is like a lock for which you have to find the right key. Just the right key will fit in and cure or at least alleviate the situation. Use the wrong key and you get no where. No one knows what type of lock you have so you have to search for the right key. It is a process of trial and error.

My first inflammatory problems came from the MMR vaccine. It set my knee joints on a spiral down. Ibuprofen worked at first.. but then it came back later with a vengence. I could hardly walk. CMO cured it up in just a week. Since 94 I have had to repeat CMO maybe 5 or 6 times as I felt flare ups coming on. I've never had to use it more than two weeks at a time it works that well for me.

But later I got another type of inflammatory process in one knee, called psoric arthritis. Very painful. Looked and acted quite different from what I had before. CMO did nothing for it. Thats when I just happened to so start using Serrapeptase for a different issue with my sinuses. I was not looking for improvement in my knee but that is what I got. In less than a week a condition that others suffer through for years was gone...and it has never returned and my sinuses were better too. www.serrapeptase.info

So you just have to keep trying things and see what happens.

You may have answered this before but I don't remember the answer. Did you ever try MMS?

Hey there.. no i have not tried MMS.. still dont know a whole lot about it, but for some reason im skeptical/untrusting of it? i dunno why.. seems like powerful stuff.. are you sure there are NO side effects?

- I was wondering too.. you hear so much about how bad NSAID's are for your body/intestine's etc. Do these natural herbs like Zyflamend cause similar problems? or could they?

The serrapeptase sounds very promising. Do you still use it? Or did all the results come from using it only for a few weeks?

My only concern with supplemental enzymes is; is it possible that if you keep taking an enzyme, over time your body will get used to its free supply of said enzyme and stop producing it on its own?

I tried it before. MOST of new chapters products are over rated (I do like their cordyceps though)

One of the benefits of taking a high-quality fish oil supplement is that it helps reduce the amount of omega-6s in your body. Omega-6s cause inflammation. While, inflammation is not *always* a bad thing, people in the U.S. are consuming something on the order of 20 times what you should be. Ideally, you want to have a balance between these omegas. I hope that helps!
