Prices are going up on everything. I was at the Italian store this morning and a brand of coffee I buy occaisionally (not any more) went from 5 bucks to 6.45 in 6 months. The dollar is diving.

Not at that one, but being greek american I asked about the prices of some products at the greek grocery stores in cleveland and pittsburgh. They say the dollar is not worth anything over there.

4 yrs ago I could get greek kasseri cheese for 5 a pound, now its 10.50$

That's Horrible, Saved. When I lived in Louisville, we had very dear Greek
friends by the name of Greanias. Absolutely super people. We used to
love going to their Greek Church festivals and weddings. The Greek
dishes served were super scrumptous!

Since 2002/03 I have seen enormous price increases in everything made in greece / france. The simple fact is french feta is preferable because not only does it taste better, their cows are much more free range. I get these cans of french feta (500 grams) for 11 bucks in akron. In pittsburgh they want 15. In 02 they were 6 bucks. Greek honey (which tastes much better than US honey) is now 14 bucks for a small jar. (I do not buy it anymore).
