Default Alzheimer Disease Spikes Dramatically

My wife suffers with alzheimer disease and she currently could barely remember my name. I'm a DR and currently seeking different studies for different people with alzheimer and trying to come up with a cure.

My brother's wife was so diagnosed with memory loss just as bad. He treated her with curcumin and sage. According to him she then got 97% cured. I talked to her many times afterwards over the phone and she sounded perfectly normal to me. She died four years later at age 82 of other causes as the indirect result of a recent automobile accident.

Most of us here are pretty aware of how serious Alzheimer's disease is and how it is spreading. I don't think any of us really know of an alternative cure or even anything that for sure forstalls the process. It is a very difficult thing to assess anyway.

Because of this many of us work diligently to eat naturally, take vitamins and detox frequently. I have read some impressive considerations in alternative meds for it but I never bookmarked it as it has not been a main focus for me.

You say you are a Doctor? Of what?

If I had the money to travel I would consult with Dr Singh in Arizona. He has worked on alternative approaches for memory loss for many years and then there is an on line news blog and product place that does very good investigations. I will look for an address to both and bring it here when I find it. Since I am not on my regular computer and won't be for some months it may take a little while to find addresses, cause gee, my memory ain't so good anymore!

Here, this guy is really good. He would be worth the visit if he is seeing patients

And I certainly would add tumeric and perhaps serrapeptase,
vitamin D3, B vitamins, raw juices.

Alzeimer disease requires immense care and help, infact the one who treats the patient must be careful as the patient wouldnt be aware of anything, so that we should be aware of the mental conditions of the one who treats the patient(If close one is taking care)

Curcumin is probably the best thing you can take (turmeric capsules and turmeric extract). I put in in homemade salsa, that way you can get a fair amount of it.

Default People Over 50 Should Cut Copper and Iron intake

Consumers Over Age 50 Should Consider Steps To Cut Copper And Iron Intake

21 Jan 2010

With scientific evidence linking high levels of copper and iron to Alzheimer's disease, heart disease, and other age-related disorders, a new report in ACS' Chemical Research in Toxicology suggests specific steps that older consumers can take to avoid build up of unhealthy amounts of these metals in their bodies. "This story of copper and iron toxicity, which I think is reaching the level of public health significance, is virtually unknown to the general medical community, to say nothing of complete unawareness of the public," George Brewer states in the report.

The article points out that copper and iron are essential nutrients for life, with high levels actually beneficial to the reproductive health of younger people. After age 50, however, high levels of these metals can damage cells in ways that may contribute to a range of age-related diseases.

"It seems clear that large segments of the population are at risk for toxicities from free copper and free iron, and to me, it seems clear that preventive steps should begin now." The article details those steps for people over age 50, including avoiding vitamin and mineral pills that contain cooper and iron; lowering meat intake: avoiding drinking water from copper pipes; donating blood regularly to reduce iron levels; and taking zinc supplements to lower copper levels.
