Default What is a good way of making facial hair grow faster, and be thicker?

I'm 17, but I just started shaving two months ago. I only have to shave once every two or three weeks, and when I do my hair is still very light. I want to grow a beard, or goatee, and I was wondering how can I make my hair grow faster, yet thicker, and darker?

I heard that if I shave very often, almost every day, it will grow in more. True or false?

I don't believe that shaving more increases facial hair growth at all. It depends on your personal rate of maturity, testosterone levels, genetics and nationality. For example, some Asians and Native Americans have very little facial hair. Be patient, and don't stress out about it.

All the men in my family have had beards, mustaches, etc. So I know genetics isn't the case.

How old were they before they had a full beard or mustache? Sometime men start late in growing their facial hair, and may not had a decent beard until their mid-twenties?

Default Biotin

The only supplement I can think of for you to take is Biotin. It helps grow and strenghten hair and nails. I'm not sure about facial, but if there's some there to start with, it should grow and thicken. The Biotin we use is from Swanson Vitamins, and it's 5 mg. taken per day. It's inexpensive, and may be worth a try! Good luck!

Smile facial hair

I agree with kind2creatures, be patient spidey. If your genetics is as
good as you say, then your facial hair will thicken more as you mature.
BTW, the Diatimatious Earth is definitely helping my nails to harden and
be healthier. I think my hair is improving too - more of it and growing more
quickly. You might want to try the D-Earth, Spidey.
Good luck, but quit stressing!
