Default ARRNIE~for some reason I cannot post a reply to your post so

Arrnie~
Dr. Atkins talks about this in his book. I believe he refers to it as carb withdraw your body is going into shock in a sense. I have this when I start induction as well and I feel it will not ever go away, infact it almost does not feel worth it. I have quit a couple of times because of it. But, it does go away, after about the 2nd or 3rd week. Now, if it is unbearable like in my case, try upping your carb intake with healthy carbs of course, maybe instead of restricting to only 20 carbs a day, try 25 or 30. Also, avoid artificial sweetners, sodas and caffine. I remember in his book that he states you can up your carb intake if the sick feeling is too intense. Correct me if I am wrong. These things have helped me before, good luck and don't give up the "ickies" and the headaches will fade!!

Default Aches

When you start to lose weight on Atkins, your body is disgorging all sorts of toxins that have been stored in the fat. You are probably going to feel awful for a little while, but that is really a good sign. You are on your way to purging yourself and losing weight too.

Headaches can be caused by dehydration, electrolyte imbalance, and the toxins being released. Be sure you are drinking enough liquids. Some people, myself included, have to take potassium for a while. You might consider that.

Just hang in there, stick to the plan and you should start feeling a lot better soon enough. And you'll be losingf weight too. That's the best part.

Good Luck!
