Ah but there is the problem. If your doctor deviates too much from what is considered to be good medicine there is a good chance that your insurance will not cover it. This obviously is done for your own good to protect you from all the bad medicine thats out there.

Well, that's just not right! (said 'tongue in cheek') It is quite unjust; I had a private insurance company cancel my disability benefits because of a false report from the doctor they hired to send me to... I have some juicy horror stories!

I am hoping that the health care reform, even though I realize that it will take a long time, will at least make this oppressive industry start cleaning up... I will be the first to say that I have not been following it super closely yet. But I believe that any attention to it is a heck of a lot better than no attention to it and the government practically condoning the criminality of it.

Cheers,
BB

Me too!

BTW, did you know that "Me too" is the very first response to a statement on the media that was to become the internet? It was called Usenet. Yes. I know I'm a nerd.

Talking about Drs, I don't have good experience with dentist. I told my dentist I want to buy a dental insurance. He said that my teeth have to be all good, well cleaned up, filled up before I can buy one. I just wonder.....if that is the case, why do I have to pay every month for well maintained, good teeth.

Nerds rock! I'm a junior geeky nerd I didn't know that about "me too" - being a nerd myself, I'll probably look it up and read about it.

Cheers,
