I am curious and wondering how much a walk in Clinic would charge if you don't have health insurance?

I am between jobs and don't have any health insurance don't qualify for Cobra any more.
Any case I believe I have bronchitics. So I am looking for any over all figure of how much this will cost me to get this fix. Typically I am a very healthy person haven't been to a doctor in like 6 years.

Is their cheaper clinics or places to go or are all clinics going to charge around the same amount. Don't really understand how they base their charges on and how much all the medication could cost...
Hi sam111, welcome. I don't know anything about how clinics charge, it will vary on what kind of tests they do and what prescriptions they prescribe, etc.
Why don't you first try a natural medicine that won't cost an arm and a leg, instead of messing up your system with antibiotics or other meds? Here's just one suggestion.

You can always call a clinic and ask them the cost. They will tell you.
For bronchitis I doubt they will do any tests if you are otherwise pretty healthy.

another option is to take vitamin C to bowel tolerance, ascorbic acid in 1000mg capsules. you may need up to 20 caps a day.. its a lot of vitamin c and should work nicely for common bronchitis.
Well, if its only 2 or 3 days I would not be running to a doctor.
Bronchitis is generally a viral issue so there really isn't a drug that the doc can give you anyway. If it becomes severe and long term, a month or more sometimes they think that a bacterial overlay has occured and an antibiotic will be prescribed that may or may not work.
If it is real bad and you are having a hard time breathing with shortness of breath or wheezing they will prescribe a short term course of a steroid. My husband took a steroid for it once and it caused psoriasis for him, a noted side effect for some people taking steroids. We cured that with a homeopathic skin cream.
In your case I strongly recommend large dosages of vitamin c and rest.
Most often it will just go away... but not always. Just depends on how run down you are. It generally occurs in people who are run down or buring the wick at both ends as my husband was or have stresses from other medical conditions.

In my city most of the clinics, or med checks prices are about the same. However, they have all increased. I know what you mean by lack of insurance and health insurance for individuals can be outrageous. Because my situation looks like it will be lengthy I have sought help through resources we have in our city. You might try looking for something like that in your city.
I have not had insurance for years either and I do pay more because it depends on your income. Since you are unemployed it will probably not run much over the co-pay.
Also, I am like the others and know natural medicine is best but I got poison ivy and thought I had to have something. Now I know to search for natural items for poison ivy as well.
