Default Cost for medicare going up

For those here who are getting social security a friend emailed me this bit of information.
As we all know there have not been any increases in SS benefits because as we have been told there has been no inflation.

However apparently Medicare is not aware of this.

Quote:
Social Security
Congress will not allow an increase in the social security COLA
(cost of living adjustment). However, the per person monthly
Medicare insurance premium will be increased from the 2009
premium of $96.40 to $104.20 in 2010, $120.20 for the year
2011 and yearly increases to a wonderful $247.00 in 2014.

Thank You Obamacare!

Gasoline is shooting up, clothes are shooting up, groceries are shooting up, but you are right. No inflation thank God.

Yeah, no inflation......BS! Of course food & energy aren't counted are they?
I've not heard/read that about the increase in Medicare but I'm not surprised.
I had an eye Dr appt on 1/6/11 - [every 6 months] & a ft Dr appt on 1/9/11 - [every 3 months.]
So far, I've not received a bill from either doctor.
Since both Medicare & Ins start over at the beginning of a new year, God only knows what these bills
will be? It will be interesting to see if either Dr w/cut his price for me?

Good luck.

Coffee has gone (in 4 months) from 10.46 to 12.38 for a 2.5 lb bag of 8'clock brand at wal marts. I will not even begin to but coffee or canned soups at krogers. Whole foods is cheaper

Medicare must be supported. Someone has to help the poor pharmaceutical and mainstream med industry. We can't have yet another failing industry.

Anybody who suffers injury through vaccinations cannot by law, sue the manufacterers according to a recent Supreme Court ruling. Just one more reason for Pharma shares to be rising.

The govt is way way overspending, but my big bitch is why is medicine in the US so expensive? You can cut doc pay and admin pay by 25% and drug costs by 50% and medical devices by 50% and still be making a ton of profit. But the fact is the med industry is 20 percent of the US economy, it will not be touched.
