Default Portugal update

The EU rules are having negative effects on health. They have a ruling here that restaurants may not make their own hot sauces or other types of things from scratch. They have to buy certain products from the corporations. They are also not allowed to use farmer produced olive oil, they have to buy corporate brands. WTF?

Dont worry, once the S510 Food Safety Bill goes through congress the US will find themselves in the same boat.

This bill is very important to the Elite as any World government has to ensure that as much food as possible is under their control in order to make citizens toe the line. This is why Nancy Pelosi is trying every trick in the book to get the bill passed as soon as possible, before people wake up to what it really means for them in the future.

If they control all the food via corporate companies, then if you dont obey you dont get any food.

Wake up America, before you end up the way Europe is heading, all your dietary supplements and food under government control!!

Of course it makes perfect sense. Dont you know that the individual cannot safely grow or make their own food. Only big agri farms will take the time to insure that their generically modified foods have not been contaminated by some wild growing version. That way they can guarantee you are getting the real thing.

And obviously once you get this food you dont want untrained individuals to preparing it. That is something that only the giant food preparation companies can do.

This is all being done because your government loves you and is only concerned about controlling your health.

Looks like the S510 Food Bill has gone through with out a single vote against. This will eventually wipe out the local farmers who will be swamped with paperwork and other government harassment.

The America I used to know is gradually being transformed into a big government monopoly that has been gradually been foisted on Europeans.

I reckon the next target will be your dietary supplements. If its anything like most of Europe you wont be able to buy a Vitamin C tablet over 500mg eventually and most of the others at RDA levels only. Who knows perhaps they eventually could sneak dietary supplement regulation into this S510 Food Bill.

This disgusts me. What is the big deal if some chef goes into the fields to pick his own herbs or some california or arizona chef makes his own olive oil. And now I have 2 things to say which may offend:

1) Not to sound snobby, but the quality of food in portugal blows away our quality. The coffee is to die for and they do not raise coffee trees in europe, they get it the same place eight o clock, maxwell house etc. But we get the crap beans.

2) Strictly for Cookie: At the newark airport I had to re go through the security line and there was some very italian looking dude in front of me who looked like a jersey shore character. I had to wait a minute while he removed his neck chains before going through the metal detector.

I find it hard to believe that major & well known Chefs like Emeril Lagossi, Rachel Ray, & others who
are big on using only natural &/or organic foods, herbs, etc are going to along with this.
What we need is a Huge Major Revolution in the states!

On their TV shows, they can use whatever they like, but if all these laws pass, in their restaurants they will have limits.

Geez, that's terrible. It's like taking away their uniqueness or whatever I'm trying to say. Why bother going to different restaurants if they're all going to taste the same, ya know?

That is what this guy was telling me, it removes the uniquness and yes, we do get the crap beans. No clue why, perhaps they pay more or they expect a better quality.
