Default Unhealthy Restaurants

The very next time one goes to a restaurant for a meal the first thing they should do is check the direction of the air flow at their rest room. One can do this before entering by simply slightly opening the rest room door to note if a blast of air hits one in the face. If the restaurant kitchen fan in running, it may so strong as to be drawing polluted air out of the rest rooms which one could feel as the air hits them in their face. This air can be dangerously unhealthy particularly for small children because this air then enters the eating area. If there is no blast of air in one's face, then more then likely air is being properly exhausted from the rest rooms.

In Florida there is one restaurant I found with this problem so I notified the state health officials of this but they didn't do a thing to correct it. So in Florida, anyway, one must act as their own health inspector when going to a restaurant.

I moved back to outside Pittsburgh from Florida. Florida is nasty (and way overrated). There is mold everywhere.

Question Restuarants

Aren't restuarants supposed to have health ratings posted where visitors can
easily see them? Or does it depend on the state?
When eating out in one's own community, being aware of the cleanest ones is
easier - word of mouth can be a biggie on this one. I think the biggest problem
would be when traveling and knowing nothing about the restuarants one visits.

We go out to restaurants less and less as tme goes on, and we learn more. There's a lot of problems with contaminated salad from restaurants workers who don't wash their hands after using the restroom. There's also a lot of putting food back on the plate when it's dropped on the floor. There's people who are sick that sneeze and cough on the food before it's served. I wouldn't be surprised if certain items that people leave on their plates when they're finished aren't thrown back into the mix and reused.

If you've ever seen that TV show Kitchen Nightmares with Gordon Ramsey, you'll see some filthy kitchens. They've shown rotting food, rodents, roaches, mold, etc.
