Default Nicorette Lounges

I quit smoking a few years ago and I used Nicorette Lounges. Several times I quit the Lounges for a few months but have to say I really like them. I wonder what is the danger of these Lounges and hopefully, they are not nearly as bad as smoking.

I have read some of the dangers of Nicotine but also found that there were some possible benefits to it.

I appreciate some views on this.

Hi Josh5v,

First I'd like to congratulate you for quitting smoking cigarettes! I quit cold turkey over 25 years ago, and have never regretted it at all, smartest move I've ever made!

I've read that nicotine may have some benefits to those suffering from Alzheimers or Tourettes Disease, but I don't know why, or how extensive the studies were.

Sucking on nicotine lozenges can't be good for your teeth or gums, and I think that the nicotine is bad for your blood pressure, arteries, etc. To me it takes away from the overall health aspect of quitting cigarettes in the first place.

Thanks for your reply.

I quit cigarettes many many years ago only to begin again on a fishing trip. I am one of those who simply can not smoke at all or else I am hooked. It is good thing I have never done drugs. Both times I quit using Nicorette. Now I have no desire whatsoever to smoke cigarettes but I do like the Nicorette.

I agree they can't be good for you but I will use them for a little while and then quit again.

Again thanks for the reply.

Hi Josh,

The lozenges are definitely better than the cigarettes. When I first quit, it was after several tries. I really liked smoking (Marlboro Red). But, each time I slipped back and smoked again, it was less and less enjoyable, taste and everything. One day I said no more, and haven't smoked since.

I think you're doing a great job to stay away from cigarettes, and you've got a good attitude toward the Nicorette usage. Keep it up, I wish you the best!
