Default How Much are Americans Spending on Alternatives?

Find out, and now you know why the AMA and pharmaceutical companies want to control access.

I have seen alternative medicine work for many things: Cholesterol and atheriosclerosis. Cancer (especially macrobiotics) etc.

Funny thing, they know all too well about the health benefits of Turmeric and they are trying to come up with synthetic chemicals that mimic the ones in turmeric. (no money in selling herbal capsules)

If everyone spends as much as I do on Supplements they're spending a
bundle. and I don't even have an Alternative Doc to go to.
When I got my perm on Tuesday, my young Beauty School student said
her Mother spends a fortune on organic foods and supplements.
So the sheeple are getting more enlightened. We all just need to keep
passing the word to others.

I just dropped 90 bucks today on ohiras probiotics, tocotrienols and cordyceps. Thank God for iherb.com (about 55-60% the cost of buying at whole foods)

The study mentioned was for 1990 to 1997, here is a more recent survey of alternative health expenditure in 2007. Looks like its gone up quite a lot.
