Mercury released from gold mining

The deadly effects of mercury are equally hazardous to small-scale miners. Most use mercury to separate gold from rock, spreading poison in both gas and liquid forms. UNIDO [United Nations Industrial Development Organization] estimates that one-third of all mercury released by humans into the environment comes from artisanal gold mining.

It probably won't stop. Gold traded above $1000 USD today; and is still near that price. Time to find that high school ring, old cuff links, tie clasps, etc. Get them sold.

Several diseases, including different types of pneumonia and lung problems, are being called "AIDS" in Africa. In other words, several diseases are being BLAMED on AIDS.

The price of gold always seems to rise during rough economic times..
