I just checked my temperature and the thermometer says 99.1 degrees Fahrenheit. (Is that good/normal or bad?)

It will be easier to change my habits when I am at home, and the ideas given about the diet at college definitely sound great. Though, it will be much harder for when I am at my father's house. Basically, I have to eat what they have, and what they make. I'll try talking to them the best I can.

Am I too young to be talking "one a day men's" or something similar?

You're never too young to take a one a day vitamin. Problem is the dosages of whats in the things is an FDA joke. Take one, and add a few things,,,,,vitamin C, astaxanthin, vitamin D3....read a bit here in other topics and you'll find some direction on supplementation.

Aspartame, diet soda sweetner...is worse then stated....at 95 degrees it turns to formaldyhide!! WHAT'S your body temp?????

Considering the heat outside, 99.1 is a good temp... the normal temp of the body is around 98.6... But you misunderstood what Judie was saying..... The sweetener that is used in diet soda, and some of these sweet waters is called aspartame.... when aspartame reaches a temp of 95 degrees, it turns into formaldyhide...which is a very dangerous toxic chemical.... If your body temp is 99.1, and if you are drinking or eating stuff with aspartame in it, then it is turning into formaldyhide in your body.... Do some research to find out what these toxins can do to your body...

I assume that you are not able to afford all this stuff these folks are talking about... I think most of us on this board keep forgetting that you are a youngun' So, affording to be able to buy your own food might be difficult... I would suggest, that you start with some basics.... Instead of soda, opt for water or tea...try getting use to unsweetened drinks.... if you have to use a sweetener, I would suggest honey, only becuase honey is easier to get in a restaruant then stevia.... If you have access to a health food store, and absolutely need a sweetener, try buying stevia.... some of the brands are sort of bitter, so ask someone who works there for help... I have always been told, that white is dead!!! In other words, white sugar is not healthy for you, white flour is not healthy for you, white rice is not healthy... so switch over to whole grain bread... if you have to eat fast food, suggest subway... or opt out for the salads at the other restaruants... While some folks here would argue that they arent healthy, (and I would agree) they are alot more healthy then the deep fried foods... When you are ordering meat, try ordering grilled instead of fries... order a salad instead of french fries. Pass up the deep fried foods and the sugary sweets... Try asking the folks if they could buy some fresh fruits.... apples oranges bananas... yogurt is really healthy, but try to get the kind with less sugar and no artificial sweeteners..... Nuts are great if you can get them without the added salt.... Try finding unsalted sunflower seeds, and use these as snacks.... Instead of eating chips, try popcorn ~the old fashioned kind with out the fake butter and salt is better, but if all else try to get use to the plain popcorn. Or if possible, ask parents if they would be willing to buy real butter, not margarine, and melt some real butter to put on top of your popcorn... If you have a health food store, and can afford to buy some seasalt, use the seasalt instead of the regular salt.... And start educating yourself... Maybe some of us here can direct you to sites that will give you eating guidelines, and tasty food recipes that you can use when you go to college.... between now and college, try to figure out a fitness routine that you will be able to fit into a college scheduale..... Take baby steps, and make this type of eating a lifestyle....if you go in small doses now, as you age, you will see the simplicity of this way of eating and you will see the benefits of eating this way.....I personally would recommend you buy the book Nourishing Traditions by Sally Fallon....the book has alot to digest, but again, small simple steps will make huge changes!!!!!

Yes rye bread can be a very good bread, but read the labels... the less chemicals, the better... Hopefully in NYC you have the old fashioned bakeries around you, that would give you good quality source of rye bread, maybe whole grain bread.... there use to be a black bread made, that was really healthy... But the most important thing is to learn to read labels!!!! If you cant say the words on the label, you really shouldnt put those ingredients into your mouth!!!

lol everyone tells me the same thing (about not being able to read the ingredients/labels). Here in NYC, we have a variety of bakeries. The thing is, the stores that sell bread order them from bakeries, but don't tell us where. I will try and ask the workers, though I'm not sure if they will know the answers.

I think you just have to accept the way god made you. Im only 5`4 and 135 lbs. And at first it was hard to accept that most women were stronger than me. I did everything in my power to get bigger and stronger
by hiring the best trainers, went to the best gyms and did the best diets. After two yrs though, my bench press was still 65 lbs. And the only bodypart that got bigger was my belly. I couldnt deny my genetics anymore. My delinquent Dad was a very small man and so were his ancestors. I had small bones and there was no way I could hold much muscle. No, it wasnt easy to accept that most women had me in the muscle department. But as I accepted myself and loved myself, my confidence grew. When that happened, women were drawn to me far more. Ive been married now for 20 yrs. Sure she is the one who carries the buffet tray and the groceries. But you measure love not by the size of ones muscle, instead, the size of your heart!

that is definitely true (about the heart, not muscle) one reason my last gf broke it off is because she was taller than me

spidey, teen age girls can be really stupid... just wait, that perfect girl is out there waiting for you, and when you find her, you will forget all about what you consider flaws... she will let you know just how perfect you are!

Thanks, I appreciate a positive statement like that. The girls in my school are pure evil, I'll just wait until college, where real, nice, intelligent (and pretty) girls are found.

" The girls in my school are pure evil."

Your hate and anger at rejection have now broadened to include the girls in your school?

You are getting from bad to worse. You need psychological help.

Well the girls from my school are the ones who rejected me. And perhaps 90% of them I see are evil, they make fun of me and many others as well. You just have never been to my school, it is horrible. Our basketball team (Lincoln Railsplitters) played in Madison Square Garden, started a huge fight, and now can never play there again.
