Default Hubby breaks pelvic bone

Dummy me. He did this 8 weeks ago and I never thought to come here and asl for advise! My husband is 70 yrs. old, fell off a 10 ft. extension ladder and broke his pelvis on 10/29. He's getting around now without the crutches, slowly, but still has alot of pains and sure doesn't move fast. Are there supplements he should be taking to help him heal? Keep in mind the stubborn Italian does NOT take any pills and I;'ll have to scream to get him to take any but I'll give it a shot. He complained today that he's not feeling well considering the time thats already passed. He's healthy otherwise but for the bone.
I'd appreciate any recommendations!
Thanks!

It is my understanding that these types of fracture can be a real a pain in the butt and take quite awhile to heal.

If he is uncomfortable with the thought of swallowing a pain pill how about trying EFT?

I havent tried it but from what I have read it sounds interesting, it appears to work similar to acupuncture but without the needles. It is a technique that you do yourself. It is suppose to help with pain and healing.
