Default Gave Blood Saturday

And from the very little bit that I know, my stats arent too bad...
Temp was low (96.4) but it was cold, wet and rainy outside..
Blood pressure was 132/90.... isnt that a tad bit high??
My iron levels was at 38%, but Im not sure where its suppose to be
Pulse was 64 (considering I was just running around in walmart, that surprises me)
And my total cholesterol was 166... they dont do the separating good from the bad...
Are these good numbers? Considering how overweight I am, I was sort of expecting alot worse.... My iron is the best I have ever seen it in along time, they normally dont let me give because my iron is too low.... They did have trouble getting my blood tho, they said my veins were too small for the size of needle they had to use.... I asked if it was because of my weight, and the girl said yes, but daughter brought up the idea that I might have been dehydrated... So thats a good possibility... been slacking on my water intake lately.... Need to build up my veins, so it wont take as long next time!!!

Just me, how is your thyroid function? Low temp, slow heart rate - have you had a thyroid check recently?

BP, slightly high, but it would take more than one reading to give an idea. Running around a supermarket, then giving blood could make it rise a little.
I can't answer the iron question because the measurement is unfamiliar to me - Arrow or someone from your side of the pond can tell you more..
Vein size - as your BP was slightly raised, you could expect a better vein size, so it's probably more to do with weight than with hydration.

Can't tell you about the iron. I've been spoiled with lab slips the tell the normal ranages so I never bother to commit them to memory.

I suspect the small veins are due to dehydration or possible need for more salt,,, only the good stuff, please.

Thanks for the info... My thyroid is messed up, but I havent had it tested since last year.. But hey, I must be doing something right, I was able to give this time.... Slowly but surely, I will get this all straightened out! Arrow, I only use the sea salt, but have even backed off of that lately because of the swelling in my feet... I dont think that salt is hurting as badly as some of the foods I was eating, but for right now, Im still going slow with it..I just keep thinking, as long as I make all these changes nice and slow, then I can turn them into life long habits, instead of making all the changes at one time and then getting frustrated and going back into the old lifestyle....
i have been doing alot of reading and studying, and I think I want to experiment for a year.... Trying to get up enough nerve to make the commitment... I have been reading about Bible foods, the foods that were eaten in the Bible, and I think I want to spend a year eating just the foods that are talked about in the Bible.. From the sounds of it, they did eat a little of everything.... From what I am getting, yes there are certain meats that werent allowed to eat, but from what I am reading red meat was eaten like on feast days, or on celebration days.... alot of veggies, and the grains that were eaten werent like the grains we eat now (right) Also, I noticed that most of the breads eaten were unleavened (no yeast) I also saw that in the levitical law, that fat was not allowed...At this point, Im trying to put a list together, once i get it all together, I would like alot of you to weigh in on what you think!

Blood pressure was 132/90

Current blood pressure readings were taken from averaging 8 people in New York in 1923. The readings are not as important as the ratio. 3:2 is the key. Your readings are fine.
