Default The Natural Healing College?

Hi all,

First time posting here. I have been reading this forum for a long time and have gotten some useful information here.

I am interested in a "Master Herbalist" course at "The Natural Healing Collage". Does anyone here take a course there or know anything about that "online" collage?

Responses are appreciated,

juschilln

No offence man but if you want to go to college then you have to be able to spell it.

In order to pass this course you would be required to study thousands of different herbal combinations, and most names are in Latin.

Good luck with that.

juschillin,

I would ask what is your intent, to get a degree at this school? Is it just for self satisfaction or are you wanting to practice? This would make a huge difference in the school you choose, and the decision might also be based on the laws of the state you reside it.

No offence? It is spelled offense.

If you are going to accuse me of not being able to spell you should "at least" spell your accusation correctly!

"Actually" I am a college graduate. From my "actual" experience even college professors make typos.

I am not going to "insult your intelligence" by accusing you of not being able to spell the word offense. It was probably a typo.

From what you have assumed my intelligence to be, by your assumption that I cannot spell college, I "really" know what you mean by "Good luck with that".

You have a nice day

(sarcasm on) I'll "somehow" try to get on with learning herbs without getting advice from perfect, authoritarian people like you (sarcasm off)

Offense or Offence may refer to:I

No it wasn't.

No, that was your assumption, not mine.

I said "good luck with that " in reference to you learning Latin.

No Sarcasm intended.

From the "New Webster's Dictionary of the English Language" :

Quote:
Offense - Something that is offending or displeasing; any wrong-doing, as a violation of divine or human law. Take offense - to become angry or feel resentment at something said or done.

This is nonsense.

Where did you get that definition? I would like to see where you got that definition.

Here is that definition (sense 2 and 5) with the proper spelling :

offense n.1. a. The act of causing anger, resentment, displeasure, or affront.
b. The state of being offended.

2. a. A violation or infraction of a moral or social code; a transgression or sin.
b. A transgression of law; a crime.

3. Something that outrages moral sensibilities: Genocide is an offense to all civilized humans.
4. The act of attacking or assaulting.
5. Sports a. The means or tactics used in attempting to score.
b. A team in possession of the ball or puck, or those players whose primary duty is to attempt to score.
c. Scoring ability or potential.
The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language

Even if that spelling could be used with a definition like that it would mean that what you are saying is not in a violation of the penal law.

Sounds absurd. Is that what you really mean?

You sure can't mean it to be: "the action of engaging an opposing team with the objective of scoring".

I could show misspelled/typo words you have in other posts on this forum.

How are you going to explain them?

pinballdoctor, I was safe to assume you think I am not "able" to spell college when you said, quote: "No offence man but if you want to go to college then you have to be able to spell it."

That statement would "usually" be interpreted as an insult to someones intelligence.

At least, can we stay on or get back to topic? Arrowwind is typically good at finding an answer to educational opportunities. She is at least good for helping to find certain types of doctors. Go back and answer her post please. I'm interested in this as well.

I have been openly insulted, telling me that before I can go to college I have to be able to spell it and you now want to turn a blind eye to it?

Are you not now inviting more insult by allowing insults?

How can I be expected to go on under these conditions?

I am not inviting you to such insults. And I don't really care for collage as a form of art. I have never gotten "into" modern art. I don't understand it or relate.

Your grievance is with one member, so far. Just get over it and get to the meat of the issue, if you are really interested. You will never agree with all members of a virtual community any more than with a real community. How do you deal with that? I have pet peeves too. It really irks me when people interchange adverbs with adjectives; like the use of "drive slow", instead of the correct form of "drive slowly". I also can't stand it when someone doesn't seem to know the difference between the possessive, your, and the contraction, you're. Drives me crazy. But I deal with it, because I want to glean the rest of their knowledge that may very well help me in my quest.

It is admirable that you want to attend college for an area of knowledge that I respect. Sorry. I can't help to answer your question though. There are others here that are well knowledgeable about such things.

We're talking about one singular sarcastic post here. You've replied sufficiently and made your point already. We've been supportive of you, and want to help by giving advice regarding your original question, so let's move on. This thread will not continue productively if we keep beating a dead horse, please let it go, we're here to discuss health related topics.

Enough Natural Healing College spam on the web. If I read this thread before PBD replied, I would have deleted it. Didn't you find it a bit strange when a new member names a product in his first post?
