Vitamin E Research Ignored by Major News Media
Coast-to-Coast Censorship

(OMNS, May 25, 2010) If you think Medline and Wikipedia are biased, take a look through your newspapers and magazines. For example, have you noticed how the news media are quick to publish negative allegations about vitamin E, but slow to present the positive side?
Here's a check to see if this is so: Have you seen any articles on the effectiveness of vitamin E therapy reported in your daily newspaper?

Such effective quantities of vitamin E positively cannot be obtained from diet alone. 400 IU is over 25 times the adult US RDA for vitamin E. Is that a lot, or is the government recommendation too low?
Have you seen any article in any major newspaper or magazine pushing to raise the RDA?
This might be a good time for them to do so: they need the readership. The New York Times is over a billion dollars in debt. (1) Newsweek, having lost $40 million in just the last two years, is now for sale. (2) This could explain why they are so anti-supplement (and pro-pharmaceutical), since they appear to depend on drug advertising money to try to keep afloat.

You have to remember that the big money who owns/controls big pharma also controls the media.

In the 1970s the Shute brothers (MDs) in canada showed that Vit E prevents heart attacks.

Good one AD.

Just remember not to overuse Vitamin E. It is blood thinning like aspirin.

I made that mistake years ago. I started have in sudden vision problems. I went to the eye doc. He saw striations on the somewhere in my eye. So long ago, I can't remember what part of the eye. He asked me if I was supplementing with Vitamin E. Yep. Whoda thunk? He said for me to just cut back on it to lower dose. My problem was corrected within a couple of days.

I take 2 Krill Oil capsules daily. I think it's basically the same as Vit E, isn't it??

EarlyBird, the Krill Oil is Omega-3 Fatty Acids from shrimp-like crustaceans. It's a better and more expensive version of Fish Oil. I bought it a couple of times, but didn't want to pay the higher price, so I stuck with getting my Omega-3's from fish oil.

I take a Natural Vitamin E supplement everyday of 400 IUs, above the 100 IUs in my multi. I don't know all the specifics, but Vitamin E is an Antioxidant.
