I wonder how much profit that would be, if the cost of research were included.

I retired from a company that had purchased numerous other small companies for their research. It was cheaper to buy research than to support it within the company. Then they send their white collar jobs to India and their blue collar jobs to China.

I knew the markup was high but these figures boggle the mind!
And, when you consider how many drugs do more harm than good
for patients and have law suits against the Pharma Cos. for killing
patients - you can see the people who have taken the drugs are
paying for the law suit settlement amounts too.
