\r\nTry mixing in yogurt with the milk or formula. Even a quarter of a teaspoon can work wonders. My kids were raised on cow\'s milk (powdered) after and along with breastfeeding. A couple of them showed some signs of colic. But a dose of yogurt in the milk solved that, and the colic never recurred.

\r\n \r\n That was one of my first suggestions Gerry, but this is the grandson with TAR syndrome...Most TAR syndrome babies are allergic to cows milk, and he has proven to be allergic to it also... the doctors accidently put him on a supposedly non cow milk formula that actually had whey in it... He was throwing up so badly (newborn) that they were fixing to do a surgury on him to find out if he had a blockage.. and I read the ingredients to the formula, and told the nurses that the formula still had whey in it, and to switch the formula first....
\nSo, can we get or make yogurt without cows milk??? I wonder if we can make a coconut milk yogurt??? Will check into that today.. thank you very much\r\n

\r\nDoug Kaufmann at www.knowthecause.com says food allergies are caused from fungus, even in babies. If the mother has fungus, the baby could have fungus. If the baby was given antibiotics, he has fungus. Antibiotics are a fungal metabolite. Milk that is not from grassfed cows has antibiotics in it. Organic milk does not contain antibiotics, even so called organic milk that has been pasteurized is better than milk with antibiotics in it. All corn has fungus. Corn fed cows have fungus. Dairy from cows that have been fed corn, has fungus in it. Why can\'t he have goat\'s milk? He may not be allergic to organic cows milk. You don\'t need to put yogurt in the milk, just add liquid probiotics. A baby\'s stomach doesn\'t have much good bacteria in it early on, so just give him liquid probiotics. I bet there may be such a thing as organic baby formula. I know you don\'t want to give him soy milk. Hope this helps!

\r\nI wanted to mention that when my son was a baby he had gerd really bad and projectile vomiting. I wish I had known about probiotics then. Since I have been taking four probiotics twice a day, and been on an antifungal diet, I no longer have gerd. The probiotics will protect the gut from yeast overgrowth. Anyway, I had my son xrayed for a blockage, and there was none! I wish I had not done this now. Also, when I was a baby I suffered from gerd and ended up in the hospital from dehydration. The doctor said the reason I had projectile vomiting was because the esophageal opening was not closing properly, but that it would in time. And it did! But even so, I think probiotics and organic milk would have stopped the vomiting! Make sure when you feed your grandson that he is in an upright position if possible, that will probably help.

\r\nIf your grandson is that extremely sensitive to cow\'s milk, there are lactobacilli products in pill form. I wouldn\'t know how much cow\'s milk would still be in such preparations, though.

\r\nI took a quick look at Swanson\'s, and they do have several lactobacilli preparations that apparently do not have any cow\'s milk in the ingredients. Use the search function of the website for "acidophilus" or "lactobacilli" or "probiotics." Here\'s a couple you might consider:

I had written a post, and thought that it posted, only to find out that it didnt.... Mom took him to the pediatric doctor today... Doc says he does not have reflux, but that the vomiting is caused by the thrush...(I have never seen a baby in Texas not have thrush, wonder why??) So of course, the doc gave the normal typical.. dyflucan??? and something else, because the thrush is really apparently that bad. So again, I think we are leaning to the probiotics being the best solution for him... I have some kefir made out of raw cows milk...Correct me if Im wrong, but doesnt the fermenting during the kefir making process delete or use up the lactose???
\nIm not sure why the doctors are saying no to goats milk, probably because of the normal b.s. but on our end, I am having trouble finding any goats milk in this area at this time of the year... \r\nThrush is fungus. Dyflucan is an antifungal, with side effects! Probiotics are a natural antifungal with no side effects. Lots of babies get thrush because their gut doesn\'t have enough good bacteria to fight off yeast overgrowth.
