Had lunch with an old college friend I have not seen since 1982. He is 55 now and when he was 27 he was diagnosed with kidney failure (nephritis stage 3). He told me he read a book right after that and started drinking carrot parsley juice 3 times a day (10 oz each time). He was urinating out 3000mg of protein a day when diagnosed. He said after 6 months it dropped to 800mg and after another 6 months was down to 75 (150 mg a day is the limit according to the doctors). He said they gave him these pills and he never took them and when the doctor said it was reversing, he told the doc what he did and the doc could care less.
