I've always been told that eating of your locally produced honey can be an excellent form of protection (not necessarily a cure) against hayfever.

I feed my Kids on my neighbours honey every year and so far so good! However my youngest has problem with tree pollen which i think he gets from me.

I've always been told that local honey is good for that too. Several stores now sell local honey. It's too bad about being sensitive to pollen. Pollen is a great source of the B vitamins. Nettle leaves are great for allergies. Freeze dried leaves are really the best.

Local raw honey is good. Pasteurized apparently not so much.

I've been doing the local honey thingy for years now. Increasing intake prior to the grass growing in spring & again in the beginning of August.
It has made a significant difference in that I no longer have to use 'products' to keep my nose from leakin' in order to get through the workday.

If you're diabetic, not a good idea.

If you're diabetic it would probably be better to see if you can get some royal jelly from a local beekeeper.
