\r\n \r\n The arm and hammer double duty i think is what it\'s called. It is kind of expensive and honestly I\'m not sure if its any better for the cats health than regular litters but it\'s a clumping litter that works great! I would recommend it to anybody if they are willing to spend the extra couple bucks because it clumps good and pretty much eliminates the smell. I pay like $5.50 for the small box and use it with the really cheap cat litter I put some on bottom and a layer on top with the cheap litter between and it works great. Although I will have to look and see if its any better or worse for our feline friends than other litters!\r\n

\r\n \r\n Unless there\'s been some changes made in the clumping litters, many use Sodium Bentonite as a clumping agent. That acts like expandable cement. It can\'t be flushed, and swells up to 15 times it\'s dry size. It can be used as grouting, sealing and plugging material.

\nQuartz Silica is the other clumping agent used. It is a known carcinogen to humans and pets when inhaled.

\nI\'m using Fresh Step non-clumping now, it works nicely and isn\'t heavily perfumed with chemicals.\r\n
