Default Changed my workout

I was on a treadmill on wed and this trainer at the gym comes up to me and says If I was you I would slow it down big time and go from a 1 degree angle to a 10 degree one. I was 30 minute sinto it, so I slowed it down from 4.1 to 2.6 and raised it to a 10 degree angle for 15 minutes. Went yesterday and did 35 minutes at 3 mph and an 8 degree angle. He was correct. I feel a little sore in my calfs and gluts and it really tires you out.

Agreed.

Less pound on the joints for the equivalent heart rate too.

I don't think I ever went over a 6 degree angle, and that was for a short amount of time. I'd see a lot of folks at the gym with their treadmills set at high angles, and they would lean back and hold on tight with their hands. Since my gym moved further from my home, my membership expired and I've gained around 10 more pounds.

I find out basically if I am exercising regualrly 4-5 times a week I will drop a few, if not then I gain a few. One guy I know who was 120 pounds overweight dropped 80 in 10 months by doing the treadmill daily and cutting beers from like 60 a week to 4 a week.
