Hair requires a ready supply of protein, vitamins and minerals to keep it healthy and in good condition.
I'm not surprised you've lost your hair, you've had no protein for three months and precious little nutrition. Frankly, I'm amazed you're still standing!

Firstly, nobody of your age should be on any sort of fad diet.

Secondly, there is no other reason you've lost your hair than faulty nutrition. All you have to do is eat a healthy, balanced diet providing you with the full spectrum of nutrients and it will grow back naturally within a few weeks.

Given your low levels of vitamins & minerals, a good multivitamin supplement would be a great additional help.

Stop eating all wheat products and gluten. You may have alopecia areata due to a celiac like inflammation of the skin. This can cause shedding. If this is indeed what you have, the removal of wheat and gluten will let your hair grow back. That diet you were on sounds horrible. Only bran, wheat, and honey? crazy.

Sounds like with all that wheat you did a death diet. You lost weight because your body was dying of starvation. You may have a subclinical case of scurvy.

Return to a normal diet of fresh vegetables and fruits and a good source of protien including fish, chicken and some nuts daily. Add real butter and olive oil and coconut oil. Eat 6 servings of veggies and fruit (not bananas) a day at least,, and yes, you can eat them for breakfast.

Establish some exercise and get away from the TV.

There are some pretty good supplements for hair and nails sold by swanson vitamins or iherb often with names like or similar to Hair , skin and nail formula.. Get one that has not only vitamins in it but Herbs also. This will help restore your hair. Give it at least 6 monts to correct the depletion you have created.

Well, if you must eat a banana is needs to be organic.
They use a ton and a half of chemicals on plantation banana trees.
they significantly affect the glycemic index in many people
the are basically a useless carb.
and studies have indicated that a non organic unfertilized soil banana essentially has no significant potassium

I gave them up long ago.

I use to buy organic bananas, but they're not widely available in my current city. I eat them before I work out.

Postscript: Pure ocean kelp, powder or tablets, is a great hair (and general) tonic as it is loaded with a myriad of trace minerals and other nutrients.
