Default paleolithic diet

Has anyone every heard of this type of eating program/diet... According to this compounding pharmacist I have started seeing, he says its eating basically like what the cavemen use to eat. When I started searching, it was called the caveman diet... the hunter gatherer diet, and a few other names... The little bit I have read on it, it sounds interesting... but am curious if anyone else has any good info about it.....

From what I gathered, its mostly meat nuts and seeds..but I am still reading about it.... Here is one site I checked out today
https://www.earth360.com/diet_paleodiet_balzer.html the other site I started checking out today was.... https://www.paleofood.com but I am just starting to get into that....

Is anyone familiar with this type of eating.... If it means I can cook out on the grill more often, I would love it..... Did cavemen cook their food???

Hi Just me,

A lot of posters on this forum use paleo diet

https://www.afibbers.net/forum/list.php?f=4
You need the user name = afibbers and the password = 2sesame to enter.

If you go to their search and type in paleo you will find plenty of discussions!

The Paleo Diet by Louis Cordain, PhD is recommended reading.

The paleo diet is basically the same as the blood type O diet on www.dadamo.com
As an A type I don't feel well without any grains or when I eat red meat, but it certainly seems to suit those with blood types O and B.

I don't buy into the blood type thing, but then I cannot experiment as a blood type A because I am type O.

Mark Sisson has a wealth of paleo/primal (primal is kinda his trademark) eating. I've been doing it for a little over two years. I've lost almost fifty pounds and my energy level has gone up at least five fold.

If your looking for fast weight loss, you should stick to the fad style diets that have the severe fat/calorie restrictions leave you feeling hungry and cranky.

It takes time to get your insulin/leptin cycle under control, but once you become 'fat enabled', fasting becomes something that happens when you don't plan a meal, not something you have to plan for.

Yesterday I had my whey shake late morning, took the puppy on a seven mile hike (lots of elevation gain), hit the grocery store*, ended up at the dog park for three hours, and then had a salmon dinner with cucumber salad. I am fat enabled. My body burns fat as it's primary fuel, like it is supposed to.

*I carry a cooler in my car so grocery store stops don't have to be in any chronological order.

Fire was paramount in being able to help break down complex protein. It also let those who developed the defect missing heavy skin pigmentation move further north without freezing to death. Possibly the pigment shift came first, letting them move further north and not become deficient of vitamin D.
