Default Omega 3 Supplementation Improves Marker of Aging

https://www.lef.org/newsletter/2012/1...-2&l=0#article
Quote:
In an article published online on September 23, 2012 in the journal Brain, Behavior, and Immunity, Jan Kiecolt-Glaser of Ohio State University and her associates report a protective effect for omega-3 fatty acids in the preservation of telomere length among middle-aged and older men and women. Reduced telomere length has been correlated with age-related disease and premature mortality.

Thanks liverock! Like Saved I had my daily tablespoon of Now fish oil, and my flaxseed over my morning greek yogurt.

I prefer capsules for convenience, no smell, no taste. I also don't buy the fish oil without knowing what kind of fish were used. Some fish, like talapia, don't make much omega3, but do make omega6. I prefer salmon, anchovy, sardine.

Tilapia is poison. All of it is raised by questionable means.

I used to use the softgels, but I have trouble swallowing pills, and they were so large that I had to switch to the liquid.

NOW specifies on the label that it contains sardines and anchovies.

Good to know, thanks for this. Seems there is a link between undoing the harmful effects of stress and omega 3 as well, by the looks of this article.
