Default The best way to take a multi-vitamin?

During a meal, or should I take it after a meal?

Is it better to take it with dinner at night or breakfast in the morning?

With multi-vitamins it is best to take with meals, for 2 reasons.

1) They contain vitamins. Vitamins are co-enzymes. They become bioavailable with food. Some vitamins can be taken without food. Those are the water soluble vitamins, like B and C.

2) They contain minerals. Most minerals need stomach acid to become bioavailable. Stomach acid is release during digestion. Also, some minerals will make you nauseous, if taken on an empty stomach.

Jfh gave a nice explanation of why to take certain vitamins with meals, I've learned a lot from him on the forum. I take my vitamins in the morning, after I've eaten my breakfast (greek yogurt, flax seeds, raw honey & lemon).
