Default Are any of my supplements causing acne?

I'm taking Multi+Daily Joy, Magnesium Chelate, Niacin, Taurine, Fish Oil, Vitamin D, Curcumin, NAC, Garlic Oil, and Probiotics.

In the last week and a half I began NAC, Niacin, Fish Oil, and Vitamin D. In the last few days my skin has been terrible, with HUGE painful acne all over it(mostly on my cheeks). I normally get some acne during PMS, but it's typically on my forehead, but right now would be closer to ovulation than the end of my cycle.. The only times I've had problems with it on my cheeks, were during drug addiction years ago and when I was taking Lithium in December.

I'm not taking anything else. I did start working recently and I get off at 9, I'm home with my son by 10-10:30 and hop right into bed with makeup still on. But I've never had an issue with makeup causing this either, so it seems strange that it would suddenly become a problem.

I wonder if you are detoxing some stuff through your skin. Start washing your face in the evening.

Your skin is your largest organ of elimination.

I was wondering that too, I'm not sure how fast the NAC starts working but I know it detoxes the body.

I'm going to be cutting out sugar and cooking all my meals from scratch with low GI ingredients starting probably next week when I get paid, so maybe that will help too. My eating has been horrible for almost a year now because I've been broke and in debt and had to eat food bank foods the whole time, plus my boyfriend eats only takeout for the most part so I tend to eat badly around him. I'm hoping the changes will help my skin along with my moods.

Is there anything natural I can use on my skin to prevent acne?

Well I would not exactly call it natural but MMS has cured many cases of acne.

Cutting out sugar is a great start. and be sure not to go towards aparatame as it is a neuro toxin as are all the chemical sweeteners. Get some stevia and you can get it for a fraction of the price at www.iherb.com

Try to eat more fresh salads. Grow a garden if you can. Much of the mental state issues could be benefited by eating whole natural and raw foods.

When I eat a salad it has beet greens, kale, spinach, a couple types of lettuce, beets, carrot, avacado, red or green cabbage. Living and raw foods.

another thing that sometimes helps acne is a topical application of grapefruit seed extract.

As someone already pointed out, just try to wash your face more often. I used to wash it in the morning as soon as I woke up and before going to bed.

Milk products can also cause acne

Hope this helps!

I'm definitely going to start washing it before bed as well as when I get up like I do now. This is more cystic type acne though, and it really came out of nowhere and is mostly on the cheeks. Hopefully it goes away quickly, anyway.
