Thumbs up CoQ10 News - Benefits

Good article here about CoQ10. It mentions that EVOO (extra virgin olive oil) is a natural source of CoQ10. Some of the conditions it helps include dry mouth, fibromyalgia and headaches. https://www.healthyfellow.com/939/coq...arch/#more-939

I take 200 mg a couple times a week and give my dad 100-200 mg a day. I get the healthy origins brand from iherb. Supposedly the kaneka formula (healthy origins is one of them) is the best to take.

I'm currently taking 100mg a day of a cheap brand (Trunature) of CoQ10 from Costco. They say that Lemongrass is also good for migraines...https://www.natmedtalk.com/f52/19309-...migraines.html

Default COQ10 and Candida Albicans

People fighting candida should beware about taking COQ10 as it can increase candida levels in alkalised stomachs. Candida can also cause low absorption of COQ10.

I have come across several websites that market Co enzyme Q10 (CoQ10) and state CoQ10 can help eliminate Candida overgrowth. In researching this further, have found several studies that indicate that CoQ10 actually can cause the colonization of Candida in the upper digestive tract, particularly in cases of low stomach acid or antacid use like Tums, Rolaids etc. I have inserted 2 key references regarding this in this article to allow you, the reader, to examine this for yourself.

Oh bother! So best time to take it would be before a meal. Not breakfast. Stomach acid is lowest in the morning and before bedtime.

Hi everyone. I'm new to these boards and am searching for advice following 16 months of health problems. I'm going to open another post with some a detailed explanation of what i've been going through and what i'd like advice on, but my doctor advised me to try CoQ10 as a natural boost. Unfortunately I have G6PD deficiency (it's an enzyme deficiency that means my body cannot deal with a whole bunch of drugs and chemicals that can be found in natural foods, like fava beans) and am not sure whether it is safe for me to take. Apparently soluble vitamin K is something I can't take for instance. Does anybody know whether I can safely take, and benefit from, coQ10? Thank you much for your time

No, but I have a cousin whose kids have that problem. Fava is not allowed. You are fine with CoQ10.
