Default no health insurance ?

I am curious and wondering how much a walk in Clinic would charge if you don't have health insurance?

Something like AEIOU walkin clinic

I am between jobs and don't have any health insurance don't qualify for Cobra any more.

Any case I believe I have bronchitics. So I am looking for any over all figure of how much this will cost me to get this fix. Typically I am a very healthy person haven't been to a doctor in like 6 years.

Thanks for any info.
Is their cheaper clinics or places to go or are all clinics going to charge around the same amount. Don't really understand how they base their charges on and how much all the medication could cost...

Hi sam111, welcome. I don't know anything about how clinics charge, it will vary on what kind of tests they do and what prescriptions they prescribe, etc.

Why don't you first try a natural medicine that won't cost an arm and a leg, instead of messing up your system with antibiotics or other meds? Here's just one suggestion.

The strongest scientific case for Umcka can be made with regard to bronchitis, an inflammation and swelling of the bronchial tubes that direct air to the lungs. Bronchitis often occurs at the conclusion of a cold or flu. Its typically characterized by chest discomfort, difficulty breathing and sleeping, excessive mucous production in the airways, fatigue, fever (and chills), increased risk of lung infections and painful, prolonged coughing. A review examining the effects of Umcka in patients with acute bronchitis appeared in the May 2008 issue of the journal Phytomedicine. In the conclusion, the authors stated that Umcka significantly reduced bronchitis symptoms in patients with acute bronchitis by day 7″. They went on to state that, no serious adverse effects were reported. Heres an examination of some of the specific studies that were analyzed in the previous meta-analysis.

well, I was kind of wondering what a ball park figure would be.
APPROX.

As for Umcka can you buy this locally in a cvs or something?
And would it potientially cure it because I don't want to treat just the symptoms...

You can always call a clinic and ask them the cost. They will tell you.
For bronchitis I doubt they will do any tests if you are otherwise pretty healthy.
Could be anywhere from 50 to $100

other options for bronchitis:

a bottle of mms is $20 read about it here... www.jimhumble.biz and purchase on ebay

another option is to take vitamin C to bowel tolerance, ascorbic acid in 1000mg capsules. you may need up to 20 caps a day.. its a lot of vitamin c and should work nicely for common bronchitis.

go to this site to learn about it... www.vitamincfoundation.org

Just curious,

If the body could kill bronchitis on it's own or do you need a secondary thing like meds.

Because mine is not killing me yet.

Wondering if it will eventually go away only been 2 or 3 days with it and it doesn't seem to be getting worse.

Well, if its only 2 or 3 days I would not be running to a doctor.

Bronchitis is generally a viral issue so there really isn't a drug that the doc can give you anyway. If it becomes severe and long term, a month or more sometimes they think that a bacterial overlay has occured and an antibiotic will be prescribed that may or may not work.

If it is real bad and you are having a hard time breathing with shortness of breath or wheezing they will prescribe a short term course of a steroid. My husband took a steroid for it once and it caused psoriasis for him, a noted side effect for some people taking steroids. We cured that with a homeopathic skin cream.

In your case I strongly recommend large dosages of vitamin c and rest.
Most often it will just go away... but not always. Just depends on how run down you are. It generally occurs in people who are run down or buring the wick at both ends as my husband was or have stresses from other medical conditions.

In my city most of the clinics, or med checks prices are about the same. However, they have all increased. I know what you mean by lack of insurance and health insurance for individuals can be outrageous. Because my situation looks like it will be lengthy I have sought help through resources we have in our city. You might try looking for something like that in your city.

Default Call first

I have not had insurance for years either and I do pay more because it depends on your income. Since you are unemployed it will probably not run much over the co-pay.

Also, I am like the others and know natural medicine is best but I got poison ivy and thought I had to have something. Now I know to search for natural items for poison ivy as well.

One time I tried walking into a doctor's office without insurance and that alone was $100. That doesn't even include medication, examinations....

I've been in your situation before and I ended up calling the clinics and asking how much it would cost. Usually they'll tell you a ballpark estimate which is usually around $50-100 or so. Have you looked at temporary health insurance or seeing if you qualify for Medicaid?

I went to a clinic earlier this year for bronchitis. They charged me about 30$ including medicine. I would say 50$ should get you fixed up.

What about just getting short term medical insurance instead of regular insurance? I know most won't pay for doctor visits or medicine but they will cover hospitalization. I know I've been without insurance when I've been between jobs and it's always scary.

My place of employment is on a roll cutting our hours to P/T.
Naturally, this made many of us lose medical, vacation time, bonus, sick & holidays. But hey! Having all this free time is growing on me, now that the shock & horror of not having medical coverage has worn off~
They wanted $528 a month for cobra hahahaha
