Default Homeopathic imprint

Edit--Sorry, the link below does not work--will try to correct.
I think it works now. Mari

"MADELEINE Ennis, a pharmacologist at Queen's University, Belfast, was the scourge of homeopathy. She railed against its claims that a chemical remedy could be diluted to the point where a sample was unlikely to contain a single molecule of anything but water, and yet still have a healing effect. Until, that is, she set out to prove once and for all that homeopathy was bunkum.

In her most recent paper, Ennis describes how her team looked at the effects of ultra-dilute solutions of histamine on human white blood cells involved in inflammation. These "basophils" release histamine when the cells are under attack. Once released, the histamine stops them releasing any more. The study, replicated in four different labs, found that homeopathic solutions - so dilute that they probably didn't contain a single histamine molecule - worked just like histamine. Ennis might not be happy with the homeopaths' claims, but she admits that an effect cannot be ruled out.

So how could it happen? Homeopaths prepare their remedies by dissolving things like charcoal, deadly nightshade or spider venom in ethanol, and then diluting this "mother tincture" in water again and again. No matter what the level of dilution, homeopaths claim, the original remedy leaves some kind of imprint on the water molecules. Thus, however dilute the solution becomes, it is still imbued with the properties of the remedy.

You can understand why Ennis remains skeptical. And it remains true that no homeopathic remedy has ever been shown to work in a large randomized placebo-controlled clinical trial. But the Belfast study (Inflammation Research, vol 53, p 181) suggests that something is going on. "We are," Ennis says in her paper, "unable to explain our findings and are reporting them to encourage others to investigate this phenomenon." If the results turn out to be real, she says, the implications are profound: we may have to rewrite physics and chemistry.."

All this raises several questions for me. If the homeopathic solution is so dilute that they cant find any of the original substance but it leaves an imprint, what about all the chemicals, drugs, vitamins, etc. that we send out in our sewage and then into our water systems? Even though it becomes very diluted can it still leave an imprint that affects us? What about water purificationdoes that remove the imprint? What about distillation or RO water? Just pondering and wondering what we are doing to ourselves.

Yes, Mari, some think that we have made the world vibrationally toxic.

I have seen devices made to remove the vibrational toxicity in water. Don't know what to think of them.

So far I have not seen that these imprints on the worlds water system causes disease. No known homoepathic remedy has caused disease in dilute form. It can cause a proving, but provings make the system stronger, sort of like a homeoapthc vaccination.

All in all it is gross toxicity, measurable toxicity in the environment, that I see making people sick.

You could take Lachesis (snake venum remedy) even if it was not indicated and it would not make you sick. But to take the actual snake venum remedy is another story. Some low potencies like 1x 2x etc have been reported to have an undesirable effect. Such remedies must be diluted more for proper healing potential.

Default water imprints

Mari,

A number of years ago I was skeptical about homeopathy--until I did some research and found that there were, I think at the time, six or seven studies proving its usefulness. These were randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled studies. I don't remember how large they were, however.

With the recent work of Dr. Emoto and his water cystals which showed how even thought can interact with the consciousness of water, homeopathy makes even more sense.

Your comments about how some drinking water which has been exposed to nasties in the environment--even though purified--is thought-provoking. However, if we consider that in homeopthy, "like cures like," then the "memories" that water has of a specific toxin (pesticides, hormones, etc.) should then actually be beneficial, if I am not mistaken. Should not the memory of a toxin help the body to cure a condition that may be caused by the actual toxin? Just a thought.

Even so, I would still prefer pure spring water. But to be on the safe side, why not impart positive thoughts/emotions to any water you drink (ala Emoto). Instead of eating consciously, perhaps we should also drink consciously. Perhaps, intuitively, this is a part of why some tradtional cultures "blessed" their food before eating.

Right now I am blessing my glass of cabernet sauvignon.

Emoto says all that is needed to "bless" your water is the desired words written on paper and attached to your water container. You don't really even have to think about it.

In homeopathy the "correctly" selected remedy is required to do the healing.

Although our water may be contaminated with vibrations I would not count on just the right vibration coming your way to heal your disease or to clear out a toxin.

Keep blessing your cabernet sauvignon. You will likely get better results on several levels.

That is what we do - a small piece of paper on the Brita jug - another on the bottle of CS. All our drinks, and the cat's water bowl have this "blessing" in the water.
