I don't think there is a direct connection, but so much caffeine can cause adrenal fatigue or even adrenal dysfunction. So as you know, pms already has hormone implications, and the adrenals are the master glands for regulating so many hormones. Some women, I know, have absolutely no problems. Another is so bad that she must stay home for at least one of the days. Obviously, not all are alike in this respect. I would suggest she does what she can to take care of the adrenals. Vitamin C and pantothenic acid (B5) are the most important nutrients for the adrenals. A B complex vitamin supplement would be good. A B50.

I'm a male and I used to drink a lot of coffee and I was always moody I would say. People have told me how much more relaxed I am now and I gave up coffee for green tea. I think coffee makes you feel good, gives you a great energy, but when the jitters end and your coming down off the high I always felt I was very short and rude with people I worked with compared to now. I'm more relax for sure
