Lightbulb Uterine Fibroids - A Natural Approach

Good article about uterine fibroids, also discusses the use of curcumin (turmeric) and green tea for prevention.

Quote:
According to US government statistics, these noncancerous tumors affect as many as 20% of all menstruating women. Researchers havent pinpointed all of the reasons why fibroids occur, but they are certain that higher levels of circulating estrogen stimulate the growth of these abnormal pelvic tumors. And while the size can vary, from that of a marble to that of a grapefruit, the symptoms are predictably disruptive and painful, including abnormal and heavy menstruation, constipation, increased urinary frequency, pain during intercourse and pelvic cramping. Conventional treatment options range from hormone therapy to surgical interventions such as hysterectomies.

Awwww, did you find this just for me???? You are so sweet!!! Thank you and healthyfellow both for this info.....Its been a long while since Ive talked to rosie^00^ but it seems like her and I had a conversation about uterine fibroids once, and it seems like she had a regime that would knock them out.... I guess I need to see if she is still in my address book......
I havent done the ultrasound yet....the daughter in law had knee surgury and so I was sort of waiting for her to get back up and running.... I am taking the provera, and started back on my thyroid meds, but it hasnt fixed the problem yet...so I am assuming thats not a good thing... I hate it when my body decides to be difficult!!!
I havent read the article yet, but will read it tomorrow afternoon...its way past my bedtime, esp since Im suppose to be up at 6 am!
ya'll have a great night, and a better tomorrow!!!!

LOL, I WAS thinking about you just me! I was wondering if you had the ultrasound and what they found, and if you were still having the heavy bleeding. I also wondered if you were taking the shepherd's purse herb. Hope you get the ultrasound and take good care of yourself no matter how busy you are with other things. I'm hoping you can feel better soon.
