often these days when I open the new posts there are just 4 to 6 posts available. I wish these could show the posts for the 24 or 36 hours.. I dont have time or patience these days to look though all the forums and if its not in the new posts area I wont see it.

I'm not completely sure what you mean. I click on new posts and it's new posts from the last time I logged in and it's not based on time. If I don't come to the board for 2 days, the new posts might be a few dozen.

It's a bit quiet these days. You can use "Quick Links -> Today's Posts" to list all posts updated in the last 24 hours.
