Man you don't know. Expect flare ups at least every 4-6 weeks for many months. Keep your head up and keep fighting it. You will feel better again!

I am going to repeat something that I am sure all you guys know already. Sitting is terrible for this condition, it just puts a lot of pressure on the prostate. If it does not further damage the prostate at best it slows down healing. It is difficult not to sit a few hours a day but I try to take frequent breaks and walk. I have also created a donut cushion and it is extremely helpful as it transfers most of the weight on the butt and rear side of the thighs rather than the prostate.

I miss the simple things in life like being able to sit down for more than a few minutes, drinking a pepsi , exercising , I have slept so much in the past 14 months I think only a corpse gets more sleep than I do. Never realized how good I had it all those years before I got this. I've saw a total of 5 doctors now , doctors are always so rude to me and make me feel unwelcome nothing worse than being sick and some doctor treating you like garbage. My nice trip to the UAMS in little rock in mid October was a wasted 4 hour trip. The doctor wouldn't treat me told me since my urinalysis was clean and my prostate wasn't swollen I made it all up.
He said I was delusional and the anal pain, ejaculatory problems ,erection difficulties , testicle pain, low back pain was all a figment of my imagination.

Has anyone considered just having their prostate taken out and being done with prostatitis altogether ?

If we assume that yeast fungi are transfered from one partner to another, and is allowed to grow, we can also assume the end result is prostate problems, everything from swollen prostate to prostatitis.

If the immune system is optimal, and supplements such as antifungals and antioxidants are taken on a regular basis, it is only logical to assume the fungi (or bacteria in some cases) are destroyed before they can cause damage, and since these are natural antifungals/antibacterial supplements such as coconut oil, colloidal silver, olive leaf extract, etc, there are only positive side effects.

During the 1980's, when AIDS was the main topic in the gay community, some decided to take antibiotics on a daily basis as a preventative. This was considered to be a logical approach, however, the side effects from long term antibiotic use destroyed the immune system, which in turn caused a positive when tested for AIDS.

These "patients" were then put on drugs such as AZT, which further destroyed the immune system, eventually killing the patient.

The point to all this is that it is much easier to prevent a condition than to treat it, especially when the mainstrem medical community is not helping. They prescribe drugs that seem to help with the symptoms but don't address the cause, so it becomes a vicious circle.

Long term antibiotic use will eventually come back to bite you. These drugs are designed to save lives, and should only be used in life and death situations, and should not be given out like candy.

If you eat feedlot meat, you're getting antibiotics. If you drink tap water, you're getting antibiotics because there is no way to filter them out, along with the chemo drugs, the statins, blood pressure medications, etc.

As stated in a previous post, I do not have prostatitis and never have, however, if you really want to get serious about being cured, antibiotics is not the answer. The answer is eliminating the cause, of which is an organism, most likely a fungi.

How do you kill fungi? First you stop feeding it, then you take steps to kill it. You can not have unprotected sex because you will infect your partner and your partner will infect you, and there will be no end.

Killing fungus, especially certain kinds of yeast fungi, is not easy. It takes dedication and alot of time. Fungi, unlike bacteria, are in layers, so even if you kill the top few layers the rest remain to rebuild.

The immune system must be rebuilt in order to win this war, because that is what it is, a war. Fungi will continue to grow until they take over the body, and if allowed to grow, that is exactly what they will do.

A good daily probiotic is necessary for the rest of your life. Also supplements such as beta glucan, resveratrol, astaxanthin, natural antifungals, antioxidants, optimal amounts of vitamins and minerals and would also consider ozone treatments to help boost the immune system.

Don't rely on a urologist or regular MD for help, they don't have the answer.
An std is a sexually transmitted infection it can be anything.I once completely eradicated mine with abx.You are talking a lot of nonsense as us in the uk would say.

The above video shows how very simple it is to culture bacteria.
If you wanted you could even culture your own semen at home for bacteria. I am thinking of doing this to see if it grows anything

By the way in the video it says it will take 3-7 days to grow bacteria in the petri dish. My prostate fluid sample was grown for 2 days then thrown out.

@lovelife, I can not get any treatment at all by urologists. I have now been refused any treatment by the medical community.the urologist in little rock arkansas at UAMS told me if your urine is not infected and your prostate is not swollen it is all in your head then told me to leave. So I can't get a shot, injections or anything because I have now been refused treatment by my GP and the urologists I have seen. In fact 2 of the urology clinics in my area have told me I am no longer welcome there anymore

I am pretty sure there is someone in the States who specializes in prostate injections and proper testing. You need a seaman culture.
This guy does it in Italy and he does proper testing and I think there is someone who works along side him in the the States.I will have a look later on.

If you sre going to spend money I would do that first before having your prostate removed.
