Default Green Smoothies

Who makes 'em? What do you throw in them? I know there's a subforum for recipes, but this can fit in here as my green smoothie is by far the most nutritious part of my daily diet.

Going off of memory, this morning's

Greens
-kale
-spinach
-cilantro
-celery
-broccoli
-watercress
-ginger!

Fruit
-banana
-green apple
-assorted berries

Nuts & seeds
-I grind up about 10 different type of nuts and seeds every few days and blindly throw the powder in my smoothies and greek yogurt. Sesame, chia, sunflower, pumpkin, hemp, flax, almond, walnut, cashews etc

Sweeteners
-dates
-honey to taste

Basically I throw in the greens I have laying around, and use various fruits and sweeteners to make them tasty. I make 'em big and drink ~24ozs in the morning and the remaining ~16ozs and hour before I leave work and head to the gym. Keeps me healthy, feeling great, my skin clear and my, um, toilet business is always fantastic

I'm impressed! That sounds like the mother of all green smoothies!

Highly alkaline...loads of antioxidants...loads of nutrients - vitamins and trace minerals. Excellent nutrition.

(Plus green smoothies are a lot kinder on the teeth than fruit smoothies, which are loaded with fructose....)

I'm into this. I use the Omega masticating juicer. I also have spirulina and chlorella powder but it tastes and smells vile, thats the only thing I have trouble with.

Add some garlic and digestive enzymes to your green shake.
