Default Made pizza tonight

I have finally started making good dough since buying 00 italian flour. I use about 4 parts 00 and 1 part whole wheat, which makes me wonder why pizzarias and sandwhich shops do not do something like that. Even though its only 20 percent whole wheat, it has more nutrition and fiber.

Sounds good (and healthy)! I've never made homemade pizza, but I'll refer to all your tips when I do, thanks.

MMMM! Love that pizza. What a great vegetable.

I use to love pepperoni and green olive pizza until I found out about sodium nitrite. Now, I am happy with most vegetables, especially spinach. Sometimes sausage, when I can find some unadulterated.

What do you use for toppings?

Last night I used fontinella cheese and ground up pepperoni (I know: bad). made one a few weeks ago and used sliced fresh mozzarella, OMG, it liquifies over the whole pizza nd then evaporates to a thin cheese coating

Yumm! Canadian bacon and pineapple. If I weren't allergic to pineapple, that would be at the top of my list for favorites.

I feel the same way about pineapple on pizza! Years back, when we bought a lot of frozen pizza, my husband accidently bought a barbeque chicken pizza. , needless to say, that ended up in the trash. I like a good plain cheese pizza, sometimes I'll order one with onions only. One I like once in awhile too is pesto pizza, with no tomato sauce, sometimes called a 'white pizza'.

Pesto and white are fine. I was on vacation in CA back in 96 and someone ordered a santa fe pizza. Corn and black beans. I am sorry, but that is disgusting.

I am a pizza purist too! Give me thin crust with just cheese. No white sauce, no chicken, no bar-b-q, no shrimp, no tex-mex. (But I had to admit pineapple and canadian bacon is my one exception. Make sure it's canadian bacon, not ham--much better!)
