Default FOOD TV My opinions only

I agree with anthony bourdain: Paula Deen is beyond bad, Rachel Ray is annoying and Sandra Lee is betty crocker on steroids. They have this other show I can only watch for 1 minute max: Bitchin Kitchin How stupid can you get?

Rachel Ray is annoying, kind of. I have her "30 Minute Meals" and it is absolutely great.

Paula Deen has the Krispy Kreme pudding that is outrageous. I'd love to try it before I die. I think I would not have long to live after that.

Actually I have this cook book https://www.amazon.com/Man-Can-Plan-G.../dp/1579546072 that is my favorite.

I love junk food also, but Food Tv is beyond bad with many of them. Travel network is horrible with man vs food. I could care less if some guy can eat a 4 pound burger. Not impressed! I am impressed with anthony bourdain and andrew zimmern though.

I like watching Anthony and Andrew too, their shows are usually interesting and entertaining. Paula Deen was on Dr. Oz show, she was working on cutting down the fat in her dishes, besides being a bit overweight, she's also a heavy smoker that hasn't been able to quit, even though her husband has. I always wonder about cooks who smoke heavily, I know it can have an effect on your tasting ability, therefore probably affects the ingredients they use and the quantity of them.

Hi y'all, let's take a pound of margarine and add two pounds of sugar and a pound of bacon.

Also like to watch 'Chopped', where several chefs compete within a time limit making appetizers, entree and dessert for $10,000. They have to use the ingredients provided in their baskets, which can be very unusual and challenging.

I like Emeril. I've been cooking since I was ten years old. As a result, I have an innate ability to produce good food. However, I've picked up some interesting tips/tricks from Emeril, mostly because of his "kick it up a notch" strategies. He often explains the chemistry of cooking, why things should be done in a particular way.

Emeril is a trained chef, so is giada, bourdain, etc. Paula was some trash that got lucky.

This is off of wikipedia (there was another site saying she uses margarine instead of butter at her restaurant:

The specialty is the buffet, which may include sweet potatoes, macaroni and cheese, deep-fried Twinkies, fried chicken, cheesy meatloaf, greens, beans, and creamed corn. Every meal comes with a garlic cheese biscuit and one of Deen's famous hoecakes. The restaurant is run by her sons when they are in town. The restaurant is a perennial favorite with tourists to Savannah.[6]

Face it, if she was not a food tv star, people would not be going there when visiting savannah.

Here is the menu: No self respecting yankee would touch this "food":

The thought of deep fried Twinkies, and I did happen to be see PD make those one time, brings the old saying to mind, "gag me with a spoon".
