Default What Drink Besides Red Wine Helps to Prevent Blood Clots?

I've read that the Resveratrol in some red wines helps to prevent cardiovascular diseases.
Also, the fact that the alcohol in red wine helps to thin your blood must help to prevent blood clots causing stroke and heart attacks?

Is there anything else that can help to prevent clots that cause heart attacks and strokes as well as red wine?

I've seen a juice at wal-mart by Genesis Today called
Resveratrol....
I would think the
Resveratrol in that drink would help with cardio health, but without the alcohol, it wouldn't thin your blood....so it might not be as immediately effective?

A little thinning of the blood is good right?

You can make your own juice. Here are food that have blood thinning properties.

Quote:
There are many blood thinning foods rich in salicylates. They include various flavorings and spices, such as cinnamon, oregano, paprika, licorice, turmeric, ginger, peppermint, thyme, dill, cayenne pepper, and curry powder. Cayenne pepper has also been shown to decrease blood cholesterol levels. Most fruits are also rich in salicylates. The ones that stand out include raisins, grapes, oranges, strawberries, cherries, blueberries, tangerines, cranberries, and prunes. Some other foods that have an abundance of slicylates are chewing gum, wine, peppermints, honey, vinegar, orange juice, broccoli, cider, avocados, brussels sprouts, cauliflower, wild carrot, cabbage, wild lettuce, and nuts.

Some other blood thinning foods include olive oil, onions, garlic, tree ear, and jicama. Pomegranate juice is also an excellent blood thinner. Research was conducted which showed that pomegranate juice promotes blood flow through the body to the heart. It also decreases the amount of plaque in the arteries, lowering the level of bad cholesterol in the blood, and at the same time increasing good cholesterol levels.

Also, drink a mouthful of sesame oil. High in vitamin E, and very beneficial for blood pressure. https://www.ehow.com/about_4564718_se...-pressure.html I take a mouthful before bedtime.

Pomegranate is easy. Most of the studies were done on bottled juice. We drink it all the time. 2 ounces a day is good maintenance so we mix it with other juice.

Pomegranate is certainly healthier for your liver.

To get the effects of resveratrol (not blood thinning)
from wine, you'd have to drink enough that would kill your liver. The French get benefits by drinking the red wine with meals daily or at least several times a week. That helps to build it up. But they do other things for their heart health as well. They typically use as little food processing as they can. They even eat meat more raw than the rest of the world.
