I often wonder how many people taking daily aspirin, (which can cause gastric bleeding), have a punctured gut wall which is allowing candida to spread to other parts of the body?

I have a friend who has 4 different doctors. He has more energy than I do - not fair, but takes so many drugs. He says he takes 1 baby aspirin (81mg) per day for many years. He has had a bypass surgery. I've told him about nattokinase, as natto dissolves blood clots and does not cause such problems as aspirin. I've told him about the study, long ago, where aspirin is shown to ulcerate the stomach lining. This study was done by sending a camera down there. Following that, they checked to see what cayenne pepper does. Not only does it cause no problem, but tries to clear up the problem caused by the aspirin. Hopeless cause.

Yesterday, Dr. Oz told his audience that he recommends 2 81mg aspirin daily.

I've enjoyed Dr. Oz for years now, as he is interested in supplements and alternative therapies, but to me he's a typical doctor when he recommends daily aspirin and annual flu shots, not advice I'm interested in taking. Also, he recommends the use of canola oil.

Default The Failure Empire: Bob Greene Rakes It In, Oprah Fails

....................and two months ago he recommended a broad array of things to lower cholesterol, however, exercise and weight loss were NOT on the list.

Too many 'Doctors' affiliated with Oprah Inc. are frauds.

Quote:
The scene is comic: Bob Greene sitting next to Oprah on her TV show, kicking off the New Year, as Oprah tries to explain to her viewing audience why she gained forty pounds again. Not once did she turn to Greene and say, Bob, I guess your program is just a bit too hard to follow, something must be wrong with it.
This spectacle first caught my attention in December when Oprah made her weight-gain story national news by featuring her balloon ride to 200 pounds in the January issue of her Oprah magazine. As she talked about her weight problems on her TV show it became obvious that her story coincided with a sales pitch for Bob Greenes new cookbook, which goes along with his Oprah-sponsored diet book. I see from some of the news stories that I am not the only one who thinks this is bizarre. However, it is an interesting case study for future university-level marketing classes in how to market utter failure.

I have been Oz free for quite some time. I noticed his strange recommendations of synthetic crap, too.

My father in-law was instructed to baby aspirin it every day. He was in his late 80's when he passed - but the cause was bleeding in the stomach/small intestinal tract. While hospitalized for shingles the morphine pump was on over-time. I feel it was the morphine that did him in. But they did say his stomach lining was tissue paper thin. (Could it have been the Baby aspirins, perhaps??While ON BLOOD THINNERS?!!) He was a previous ulcer patient, too.

I have a friend in the same boat. Just did a colonoscopy to be sure that there is no problem BESIDES the aspirin causing the bleeding.

Oh, now is a good time to take my IP 6.

A single "baby" aspirin a day (81 mg) is such a low dose that the risk of gut wall perforation is miniscule. Consider extremely low risk versus benefit.

Why take the risk of gut wall perforation, even if "miniscule", if there's other more natural options?

What are the possible side effects of daily aspirin therapy?

Side effects and complications of taking aspirin include:
  • Stroke caused by a burst blood vessel. While daily aspirin can help prevent a clot-related stroke, it may increase your risk of a bleeding stroke (hemorrhagic stroke).
  • Gastrointestinal bleeding. Daily aspirin use increases your risk of developing a stomach ulcer. And, if you have a bleeding ulcer or bleeding anywhere else in your gastrointestinal tract, taking aspirin will cause it to bleed more, perhaps to a life-threatening extent.
  • Allergic reaction. If you're allergic to aspirin, taking any amount of aspirin can trigger a serious allergic reaction.
  • Ringing in the ears (tinnitus) and hearing loss. Too much aspirin (overdosing) can cause tinnitus and eventual hearing loss in some people.
If you're taking aspirin and need a surgical procedure or dental work, be sure to tell the surgeon or dentist that you take daily aspirin and how much. Otherwise you risk excessive bleeding during surgery.

The Food and Drug Administration also warns that people who regularly take aspirin should limit the amount of alcohol they drink because of its additional blood-thinning effects and potential to upset your stomach. If you choose to drink alcohol, do so in moderation. For healthy adults, that means up to one drink a day for women of all ages and men older than age 65, and up to two drinks a day for men age 65 and younger.
What are possible drug interactions with daily aspirin therapy?

If you're already taking an anticoagulant, such as warfarin (Coumadin, Jantoven), dabigatran (Pradaxa) or rivaroxaban (Xarelto) for another condition, combining it with aspirin may greatly increase the risk of major bleeding complications. However, there may be some conditions for which combining a low dose of aspirin with warfarin is appropriate, such as with artificial heart valves for secondary stroke prevention. But this therapy always needs to be carefully discussed with your doctor.

Try the enteric coated aspirin - The most common site for the possible gut wall irritation side effect is in the stomach. The enteric coating allows the aspirin to be absorbed further down the alimentary tract where the pH is different than the stomach and gut wall irritation is far less likely.

This is bad advice.

Never trust anything with "Bayer" on it. (this is good advice)

Read Dr Barry Sears book Enter The Zone. Concentrate on the section about eicosanoids and then reconsider the benefits.

We were taking baby asprin, ordered by doctor untill we read about all the nasties it can cause, now we take alternative's, that are less damaging to the body, like ginger, capsicum, and olive leaf extract.
And we are still alive.

I can buy a pack of aspirin here for the princely sum of 15p! Given the Cancer Industry goes ape anytime a low cost herbal cancer remedy raises its head there seems to be a strange silence from them about this....

Aspirin started out as an ancient herbal remedy, even back then it was never intended to be used out of context and certainly not taken every day.
