Total cholesterol and cardiovascular disease: A U-curve relationship
If those people striving to get their cholesterol ever lower only knew how they were actually increasing their risk for cardiovascular disease and mortality they may question value of statins.

Framington Heart Study: The ONE BIG FACT to come out of it was to eat 2 servings a week of fatty fish (salmon, sardines, Tuna (try the other 2 since tuna is much higher in mercury).) The heart disease rate plummets if you do this. If you take statins; you reduce cholesterol, but in all actuality the heart disease rate does not decrease.
