Default HERBALIFE

A friend is starting work at Herbalife and she came today with a few friends and a guy from the company at my place and we did some kind of test where you stand on a machine barefoot and you grab with both hands a thing which is attached on the machine by an elastic ''string and hold it...

What opinion do you have about Herbalife??

Anyway i got my results and all looks great actually and the only thing the guy told me was not perfect is my weight basically, and he showed me from the herbalife 2 products i should buy, one is a cell activator and the other im not sure what it is,like a shake supposedly natural...

ok so here are my results, i would trust your diagnosis here bcuz i trust it more than a salespersons diagnosis...

AGE: 22

WEIGHT: 62,2 ( i gained 5 kilos in the past month, but i still think im underweight)

FAT%: 10,0 (is this good? if so how good and what is optimal for my age and gender?)

BMR (calories): 1647 (i have no idea what is this ehh???)

Metabolism Age: 12 (haha this is awesome i think and the herbal-guy said so too, but is it really??)

Water%: 64,9 (this is my body's water i guess and its good isnt it? for my age..?)

Visceral fat: 1 (i was also said that its the lowest and great, is it??)
Bone mass: 2,8 (what about this, i didnt ask and i have no idea,is this good?)

Muscle mass: 53,2 ( what is this? good or not?)

Fitness /or/ Physical situation(i translate from greek, the correct is one of the two): 5 ( and this is the ''problem'', what is this and how to improve it?)

Ok now the ''problem'' i have and should correct according to the guy is the last 3 test answers and he said basically that its because im skinny, i should put some weight (i replied i know, three times :/) and thats why i should buy the cell activator and the other shake-powder...

Now on the test paper i got its also written about each of the tests the machine did on me what is a good result and what is not:

WEIGHT: I wont copy the entire table just what concerns me...

For men:
Height: Physical Dimension
Large/ Medium/ Small
173 (thats me) 67-75 63-69 60-64( i think i am here,so according to the table i have in front of me im good,in range)
----------------------------------

FAT%:
The table i have says, for me

For Men:
AGE underweight healthy overweight obese
18-39 <8 8-20 20-25 25<
Ok i have 10 so i am in the healthy range according to the chart, but is the chart lying to me? hehehe or am i really good with 10??
-----------------------------------------------------------------

BMR (calories):

What is written about this is:

What is BASIC METABOLIC RATE (BMR-in greek),
It is the number of calories your body burns daily while resting
Why is the control of the Basic Metabolism important?
Understanding Basic Metabolic Rate will allow you to check the number of calories that your body needs according to your Fitness/or/Physical situation and your lifestyle. The more muscle or generall activity you have(excersise), the more calories are required. The basic metabolic levels are reduced also with rising age.

THIS IS THE TRANSLATION BUT IT DOES NOT TELL ME IF MINE IS GOOD OR NOT,can someone please tell me??? i do not excersise at all lately...
----------------------------------------------

Metabolism Age:

The metabolism age identifies the age in which your body is operating this period with relation with your metabolic rythm.

Well for me the age is nice young 12, its good right?
---------------------------------------------------

Water%:

It is the complete amount of liquids of the body, expressed in rate of the total weight

WOMEN: 45-60%
MEN: 50-65%

I have 64,9 and that is very good the guy said,is it? ( i guess yess
-----------------------------------------------------------

Visceral fat:

The high levels of visceral fat rise the risk of high blood pressure, of hard diseases and diabetes type 2, the reduction of amount of visceral fat can stabilise the effect of insuline esentially, thing that reduce the risk of diabetes and other relevant diseases...
1-5 Excellent
5-12 Medium
13-59 Dangerous

I have 1 and was told that its really really good...
My mom has 4 and was told its great, but could improve...
My step-father has 10, and the guy wants to sell him some stuff for it and mentioned its on the border of Medium, close to dangerous and that is dangerous, he could have a heart attack...

So is my 1 really good? can it become 0 for better?

What can my mom and mostly step-father do to correct this????
-------------------------------------------------------------------

Bone mass:

The optimal here on the table i have for men (for me) is:

Less than 65 kilos
2,66

---> I HAVE 2,8

There is no explanation on what this is, i do guess but i would like one plus are my levels ok???
-------------------------------------------------------

Muscle mass:

It is the total weight of the body's muscles. The muscles play an important role, because they are the ones that consume energy to the body. The more muscle rises the easier fat can be reduced...
WHY IS THE CONTROL OF MUSCLE MASS IMPORTANT:
Because a muscle is denser than fat, the control of muscle mass, gives you a precise understanding of your bodies composition. If the body's weight kilos dont reduce as much as we would like them to, but the muscle mass increases, than we will have more cremations, less fat and following the reduction of points(i guess weight measurement points)

I HAVE 53,2 AND AGAIN I HAVE NO IDEA WHETHER THIS IS GOOD OR NOT?????
--------------------------------------------------------------

Fitness /or/ Physical situation(i translate from greek, the correct is one of the two):

It is the analogy of fat in relation with the muscle mass of the body.

I GOT A 5...IS IT OK,ACCORDING TO THE HERBALIFE GUY ITS NOT GREAT
-------------------------------------------------------

So something about bone mass and muscle mass and fitness/or/Physical situation relation got this guy to tell me i need to put on weight to correct whatever is wrong, and so he has 2 great products for me...of course i told him id sleep on it,and this is me sleeping on it here with you guys :P
But one can see i need to put on weight by looking at me, so maybe he bullshitted me in order to sell me,tell me what is it????

Also he did a ''demonstration'', in a glass of water i put some oil which than floated on top,and he took a pill, crushed it and threw the pill's powder in the glass,3 minutes later the powder mixed with the oil and what looked like wet sand fell on the bottom of the glass, it was impressive i must say and that is what the guy wants to give my step father, among other things...
I am avoiding food with oil so i dont think i would need it,and my test results certainly confirms that...

anyway i have many questions here, and sorry for the long post...again :P

Well, lets start with the oil thing...

you need oil.. but you need the right kind of oil. Oils that are balanced in omega 3's and 6's or predominate in omega 3's. a mix of each is good for you particularly. Oil (fat) is essential to keeping up brain and nerve tissues.. and hence good function of these tissues. One of the biggest downfalls over the last 30 years has been the no fat kick that the big food industries got us on to.. now we have lots of chronic diseases.. and alzheimers... you know the brain is made mostly of fat and all the nerves are sheathed in fats. They are essential for good nerve conduction.
oils that I recommend are as follows.

Hemp - use raw in salads or pasta. One of the best oils for you.
grapeseed oil - use for stir frying and other cooking needs
coconut oil - expeller pressed (has no coconut flavor) very good for the body. use straight out of the jar or for sauteeing or other cooking
Olive oil - do not cook with it. Use raw. Can go rancid easily so check for that

I can remind you that the Bugwig protocol that has the rep for curing a number of cancer cases is all about reestablishing the proper fats in the body. They use flax seed oil which is good but not such a good flavor in my opinion. I mix it with butter, salt and herbs for using. The correct fats help to keep inflammation down in all of the body and especially in places that you dont notice, like the lining of vessels.

So here is a thought to you about your weight... you are now coming out of some chronic health concerns. your weight has been low. Previous to all this you suffered other illness due to accident. But you say that you have recently gained weight? Are you anticipating that this weight gain will now stop for some reason? Perhaps it will continue with your improved health? and you are eating better and giving your body the nutrients it needs, so is more really better? You should be eating at least 60 grams of protien a day if you want to gain muscle mass, which is what most guys your age want. Even 80 grams may not be too much. Of course this should come good sources, not soy. Fish, grass fed beef, whey protien, eggs, cheese, some milk but not too much, a few times a week is ok (goat milk is best), beans and rice (must be eaten together to make a complete protien), nuts, seeds. of course I know you are not interested in all of these foods but you must keep up the grams.. Beans and rice will provide protien but also carbs that may put on weight, but perhaps not the kind of weight you want. 1% fat is pretty low.. I think 2 to 3% is better as a reserve on the body.

Carbs and protien are required to build muscle mass. But inappropriate carbs will just lend to putting on fat.

Whey is one of the best sources of protien.. I like Jarrow whey for its purity. one scoop equals 20 grams. You put it in smoothies

Being rated a metabolic age of 12 is good. This may not last through out your life.. but I am rated considerble years less than my age also. this is good.

If you want to consider these products look at the ingredients and decide if these things are things that are missing from your diet. I also look to see if there are other ways, perhaps more economical to get these products. I look for ease of use of the product. For me I have more time than money and can mix up a lot of stuff on my own.. but if you are on the run a lot and need something easily portable products like these can be helpful. If you get a job it may be something to consider.

Alot of that report I dont understand... but what I do it seems ok to me.

Alot of that report I dont understand... but what I do it seems ok to me.

As far as oils go i do use olive oil with my salads and apple cider or grape vinegar...
And i also want to buy coconut oil, ive read many positive stuff about it...

The Hemp and grapeseed oil honestly i might have even never tried them before...

I never heard of the Bugwig protocoll or curing anything in that way, good to know...

As far as the story goes about my weight, when i was 18 i had 62-65 kilos(it felt totally normal), than i had an accident and for 3 days i stayed bedridden in a hospital,on the forth day i got out and i went on the weight scale and i had lost like 15 kilos and dropped to 45-48(i was terrified), after that slowly slowly i was regaining but maybe a year after the accident i reached 55-58 kilos and i stayed around that weight untill one year ago when i managed to bring it up to 60-62( i was 21 at the time), shortly after i dropped to 56-58 again and was like that up untill a month ago(my 22nd birthday was a month ago)...in the last month i have went up to 60-62 again but I DID NOT TRY TO DO THAT...my primary concern now is HPV, NOT weight gain(but of course i want to gain weight)...and like always this weight ive been gaining slowly slowly lately, i will lose all of it with the first sign of stress and i mean i will lose it within a day or two,and drop to 57-58 again, that is what im anticipating bcuz it has happened before a few times...i can gain weight trying hard for long time, and lose it withing a few days even if my eating habits stay the same...(although this time i didnt try to gain weight, its kinda happening on its own so it might stay like this,or maybe i gain a few more kilos, with my improved health and everything hehehe )

Arrow right now i dont care about gaining muscle, my main concern is HPV,if i have to lose 20 kilos to heal from HPV,i would do that no second thoughts(im just saying to give you to understand my priorities) So i dont want to gain muscle mass,i want to be healthy,period...(and after im done with HPV,i can concentrate on gaining weight too,the Right way...
the foods you mentioned arrow i am interested,i do eat already and always have been

not soy
. - BOUGHT A FEW TIMES IN THE PAST 3 MONTHS TO REPLACE WITH MILK FOR MY OATS AND MUESLY, I DONT ANYMORE (HONESTLY I THOUGHT SOY AND RICE DRINKS WERE HEALTHIER THAN MILK?)

Fish - YES SINCE EVER

grass fed beef - NO

whey protien - NOT SURE.?.?

eggs - YES SINCE EVER

cheese - YES SINCE EVER

some milk but not too much, a few times a week is ok (goat milk is best) - YES SINCE EVER ( MOSTLY COW MILK THOUGH, I DRANK ALOT OF MILK IN MY LIFE, BEEN CUTTING DOWN A LITTLE BIT IN THE PAST 6 MONTHS)

beans and rice (must be eaten together to make a complete protien) - YES SINCE EVER

nuts, seeds.
- YES SINCE EVER

The best source of protein arrow, i will have to disagree with you, i think spirulina is the most complete and best protein (not because i know for a fact, just because i prefer it..so i could be wrong

The metabolic age from the other people that did the test with me

a white girl aged 20 had a 13 metabolic age
a white woman(my mom) aged 45 had a metabolic age of 30
me i am 22 years old and have a metabolic age of 12
a black girl aged 22 had a metabolic age of...22

so looking at theese numbers,my mom has a much younger metabolic age than her actual age, and thats where i call the genetics card...

the last thing the guy gave us all to try something like a green tea powder supplement, and i looked in the ingredients and there were a few more stuff in there...but i just thought i drink 1-3 green teas daily,so i dont need a supplement for that, besides intaking something with food or liquid you drink is much healthier than supplements
