Default Something is not kosher

Woke up early and I usually fall asleep to the TV. Planet Green was on: a bunch of 20 somethings trying to act cool and eco friendly. They are building the area for a festival, solar panels LED lights etc. Then a few of them sit around with their Whole Foods bags, pull out organic wine and use plastic cups.

If they really cared, they'd just pass the bottle.

They used to have a show with young "eco friendly" people which constantly had me LMAO. Those cool kids were so uncool! One time one of the guys bought an expensive house in a fancy neighborhood. The cameraman was following the young man, WHO CLAIMED TO LOVE NATURE, around the extensive backyard on a hillside as the young man pointed out how he was going to turn the area into a food garden. The young man spotted a snake, exclaimed in fear and began to walk fast in the opposite direction, practically running away. Then he turned to look to see where the snake was, saying "Is it following me?!" Those people were ridiculous. However, I believe the show lasted for two seasons. I can't remember the name of the show.

Well I love nature and have hiked and backpacked many wilderness areas in America. However, I don't love snakes dogwoman. I'll go out of my way to avoid them. Even common garden snakes. I have also learned that it is not good to even try to step over common Texas Rat snakes. They are aggressive. They will go out of their way to "get" you.

Snakes do not bother me at all. If I saw a scorpion in the wild or in a bldg, I would freak.

This is the 1st year that I have not had a scorpion in the house. Or maybe it's the second. Time flies. I did have 3 gecko. Dastardly creatures. It took me 3 days to catch one of them. They are fast and can even cling to glass as well as stone and textured walls. Maybe I need to get a cat.

The scorpions are small. About the length of my index finger. The geckos are about the length of my thumb. I'd like to know how they get in the house. I think they ride in on the door somehow. I've sprayed foam into every hole, for example where pipes come into the house at the sinks etc.

Length of your index is considered small?

I've been able to swat them with my shoe. So maybe they are not good under stress.

Before my dad became sick, I was thinking of doing that teach english as a foreign language thing. I was looking at mexico, central america or south america. Was on a site for people living in mexico and in some areas, scorpions are rampant (same for arizona). Saying I kill one a yr in the house is way too much for my tastes but some people were saying they kill them weekly. Friend of mine in phoenix has a coworker who get sthem 5-6 times a week in the house.

I love hearing men be honest about their fear of bugs, insects or animals. My husband is afraid of sharks, my Dad was afraid of spiders (rest his soul).....and me? Well, I'm afraid of my own shadow. lol
