Epsom salts is good for baths... Years and years ago, I read that bubble baths will cause urinary tract infections, so I never let my kids take them...now grandparents did, and I didnt argue that point...figured a treat everyonce in awhile wasnt gonna hurt them too bad...

I think any kind of a castile soap/shampoo would create the bubbles, and a few drops of lavender oil will help relax them if it's before bedtime.

We use epsom salts in the bath for muscle relaxation and it works well. I've combined it with 'natural' bubble baths, but it seems to have a negative effect on the bubbles themselves. Coconut oil can be added to any bath for skin softening benefits.

I heard or read somewhere that Dr. Bronners uses saponified coconut oil as an ingredient for its lathering properties. I don't see Dr. Bronners foaming and lathering nearly as much though as conventional petrochemical chemistry based soaps.

Maybe you can get saponified coconut oil or a product with more of it to get a good lather for bubble baths or just use more of a castile soap.
