Sugar addiction is a huge problem. A lot of people have no idea they're addicted to sugar. Try going without sugar for a week and see what happens, then you'll know whether you're addicted or not.

This is a sad situation. The kids grow up on junk and that's what they have a taste for. I overheard my co-worker telling her mom (babysitter), 'Yeah, he doesn't like real chicken, he likes the processed stuff'. Then, something about the rice crispie treats she bought for him. He's 17 months.

One young couple we know was giving their 1 year old nothing but junk and he would be crabby. Their babysitter thankfully gave him fruit and other healthy stuff for snacks and several of us had a talk with them and they're trying to feed him better. He now asks for the healthy stuff. The young mother told me, 'When we were in the store he said 'nana, nana?' for bananas and how could I not get them for him?'

Krispy Kreme Profit Best In 7 Years
I see they are also trying to associate themselves with raising money for charity Never mind that raising insulin raises insulin growth factor and that increases cancer incidence, and also increases the risk of diabetes and Alzhiemer's. So raise money for cancer, diabetes and Alzheimer's research by flogging the very items that promote cancer, diabetes, and Alzheimer's incidence.
Wonderful isn't it. It's the same story as all the pink washing that's involved in breast cancer research. Why explain to people how to reduce the risk of breast cancer incidence when you can make more money treating the condition.

We don't need prevention, we need more people being diagnosed with these conditions so we can make more money treating them. So get busy flogging more donuts and why not raise insulin a bit higher and faster with a Coke.

I can't understand how Diabetes research can team up with what is arguably the one of the leading causes of diabetes incidence

But to be honest I think it's a case of follow the money.
