\r\n \r\n I am in my mid 20\'s and for the last few months my teeth have been brittle, decaying, falling out, and I have had a surprisingly increased amount of cavities. I have no gum bleeding. But do have fine "cracks", as well as the breaking seems to begin around the gums.
\nThere have been many hi-stress events in my life, but I had previous doubt they\'d have this much of an effect on my teeth!
\nThis is very painful. I loose on average two days per month, only to be bed ridden, and in tears. I live on soft foods so that I will not irritate my situation. I do not have a tase for sugars, and cola has been out of my diet since elementry school. I have caused an ulcer from taking too many aspirin. (Witch I rely on daily) I have a family history of "bad teeth" (both grandparents on one side lost all their teeth by 30)
\nI have smoked socially for years. I have always brushed and flossed daily to prevent this.

\nI have corrected my diet from college days. I do eat balanced. No I took iron about 5 years ago for a circulation problem. Toothpaste is whatever lands in my cart. Usually Crest or the like. Yes, I am in good health for my age.

\nI have a few general ideas that may be worth considering. Maybe others can offer additional suggestions:
\n
\nAs a starting point, I would consider avoiding sugar, soda (even sugar-free varities) and processed foods in general. I would stick to whole, natural foods as a good basis for a healthier diet.
\n
\nIn addition to that, I would consider switching to a natural toothpaste and possibly starting on a bone-building supplement. Many of the nutrients found in such supplements can also support the health of our teeth. A multivitamin and extra vitamin D might also help.
\n
\nNaturally the smoking isn\'t healthful either. If you could avoid that somehow, it could only help.
\n
\nI wish you well. I hope you find a good solution to restore your oral health and overcome any genetic obstacles.\r\n

\r\nI think you have several issues going on.
\r\nFirst is a microbe problem in your mouth,
\r\nSecond is a nutritional problem.
\r\nThird may be a fluoride issue...And I do think you can overcome it!
\r\nBut it will take some work on your part.
\r\nYou must also start eating lots more fresh veggies, like every day, veggie salads!
\r\n
\r\nYou need to address all three.
\r\nThis is what I would do.
\r\n
\r\n1. Stop drinking anything with fluoride in it. Purchase bottled or purified water if you must. Too much fluoride makes your teeth weak, crumble and become susceptible to cavities.
\r\n
\r\n2. Get Xylitolwhite or Spry tooth paste. Don\'t ever use the other stuff again. These toothpastes will help to eliminate bacteria.

Now be careful because if your gums are really bad it will burn. you want to work up to it.

I have teeth and gum issues, and have tried things like "pulling" with coconut oil, and using Sangre de Drago (Grado), I\'m always open to new things to try, glad you\'re here looking for answers \r\n

\nThe best advice I think was the vit D. Be sure it is D3 at those levels. See donaldmiller.com for more info. on fluoride, iodine and selenium.
\nAlso Iodine can displace fluoride and most are low in Iodine also. Iodorol is a good brand. The rda is way too low as with Vit D.\r\n

I don\'t see that you are doing enough to prevent infection in your protocol. If your teeth were rotting you still have lots of bacteria in your mouth even though the bad teeth were removed. \nYour post grabbed my attention because its so similar to my own situation. I really sympathise with your teeth problems and I would love to know if you had made any progress in resolving them.

\nI am seriously depressed and anxious about my dental health, at age 35 I suddenly have gum recession and two loose teeth, and am in a state of fear about them falling out. I also feel like my teeth are becoming brittle and sensitive and cracked for no apparent reason. I don\'t even smoke or eat many sweets. The only recent change I can think of is using different tea bags for my cups of (sugarless) tea! Please see my post on here and reply if you have any advice that my help me. I am terrified at this point.

\r\n \r\n I have attached some images of my mouth. Warning this is not for the faint of heart.
\nI have now been smoke free for, about 7 months. I do not eat red meats, I hate fast food. As always I don\'t eat many sweets (Interpretation: One or twice a month bowl of ice cream and no more. I really don\'t like sweets.) and never drink soda. I brush 3+ times a day, floss, after every meal. (yes even at work) Multi-vitamins every day, lots of greens & fish (obviously). I\'m still in pain but much less today. The pain is when the teeth are falling out. So far there is no loss for a week. (Last week was a little sliver that ended up getting stuck behind another tooth. I pulled it out with dental picks I purchased at the market.) I still have no insurance and I\'m working my way up in my company so I make ends meet. I did try to get into Nova University\'s dental program here in South Florida, but they are full. I\'m supposed to see if there is an opening at the end of January. However I was told it was doubtful.
\nOwen if you can make a dental appointment please do so! I am really looking forward to getting these messy spots pulled and being able to afford partials in Mexico. I\'ll be 25 next month, what a thing to look forward to.
\nSee if anyone else here has suggestions for either of us. I don\'t think I\'m doing anything harmful but I can\'t afford to get these pulled and they are causing the others to decay. Don\'t do that if you can help it!

Question Please Help; I'm too young for this!

I am in my mid 20's and for the last few months my teeth have been brittle, decaying, falling out, and I have had a surprisingly increased amount of cavities. I have no gum bleeding. But do have fine "cracks", as well as the breaking seems to begin around the gums.
There have been many hi-stress events in my life, but I had previous doubt they'd have this much of an effect on my teeth!
This is very painful. I loose on average two days per month, only to be bed ridden, and in tears. I live on soft foods so that I will not irritate my situation. I do not have a tase for sugars, and cola has been out of my diet since elementry school. I have caused an ulcer from taking too many aspirin. (Witch I rely on daily) I have a family history of "bad teeth" (both grandparents on one side lost all their teeth by 30)
I have smoked socially for years. I have always brushed and flossed daily to prevent this.
