So Years back I quit using off the shelf fluoride toothpaste and had all my amalgm fillings taken out and replaced with white ones. Good for me Im sure you will agree.

But I have to confess I am not so fond of the toothpaste I have been using. While it is not as toxic as the main brands out there it is not very effective either.

So I am looking to upgrade to somethingmore efficient and preferably organic. Do any of you have any reccommendations? I would really appreciate that.

I'm currently using an inexpensive, organic soap as a toothpaste. It's called Dr. Bronner's. It's widely available in health food stores - at least in the USA.

Dr. Bronner's Magic Soaps Retail Store: Peppermint Liquid Soap - 4 oz.

The liquid soap is very gentle, non-abrasive, and a little bit goes a long way. Therefore, it's very economical.

BTW, I should mention that it's obviously fluoride-free.

I believe other board members may also be using the same "toothpaste". Perhaps they can chime in with their experiences as well.

Well if it is better than the Kingfisher Fennel Brand I use then I amy switch. Ill hear from other tesimonials before I buy though.

I also use Dr. Bronners. I like the organic essential oils soap best. Actually any soap (not liquid) is good as long as it does not have glycerin. Just swipe your wet toothbrush on the soap a few times and brush. Without the glycerin, found in most toothpaste, there will be nothing to stick to the teeth. Then the teeth can remineralize; especially if you have enough calcium in your body. The calcium will be in your saliva.

Once or twice a week, I will dip the soapy toothbrush in some baking soda. I feel better that this mild abrasive will help to remove tartar that might be missed. It is too abrasive to use daily.

How about something dirt cheep? I use hydrogen peroxide and baking soda. Has a slight �salty� taste, but not over powering. Seems to clean quite well. The baking soda is a mild abrasive, but not as aggressive as what is in some commercial pastes.

I use Spry toothpaste because it has xylitol in it which has an anti microbial effect.

I store my tooth brush in a small glass of H2O2 to keep it clean and I sometimes add grapefruit seed extract directly to the brush with the toothpaste to keep gums healthy.

Been using mms (as in miracle mineral supplement) on my badly stained, sensitive teeth - also been having infections etc. Won't go into all of that but look this stuff up on this site/internet. I have no axe to grind as some woman Lil suggested - merely amazed that this stuff has exceeded my expectations and is continuing to do so. Would like as many people to know this as possible - brother staying with me from Sydney over Christmas and he has been using it for 3 days. He too is a convert. Really cheap as well.

Hi Dorothy and welcome to the forum. Lots of people have reported whiter teeth with MMS and gum health should improve also. I just got to the point where I can't stand the smell of the stuff and I only use it when really needed.
