\r\n \r\n Around me everybody has been sick really bad lately and for awhile I was the only person not getting sick, then I caught something. The pollen in my area is extremely high, which I do have allergies, but I\'ve been sick for over a week in bed.

\nI tried taking 15,000mg of vitamin C a day, 10,000 iu of Vitamin D3 a day and 150mg of zinc every day. I would also drink a few cups of airborne, which is really just loaded in the same vitamins or more.
\n
\nI also made garlic and ginger tea and drink probably 8 cups a day of it.
\n
\nAfter so many days of barely getting better if not worse that I noticed green mucus coming up. I have a business meeting very soon that I can\'t miss as we\'ve been preparing for 3 years for this meeting, so I ended up getting on antibiotics.
\n
\nI really didn\'t want to take antibiotics, but really didn\'t know what else to do? I really hate having to take antibiotics, but I didn\'t see any improvements and I\'m wondering what I could have done better or different next time?

\nMy mother suggested instead of garlic tea that you make chicken noddle soap and put a lot of gloves of garlic in the soap and make sure you consume a lot of garlic. That might have helped more than the tea, but not sure what else I could have done different.\r\n

It never gave me the runs. Normally I take 2,000MG of C, so 15 didn\'t effect me at all.
\n
\nI regret not using the neti pot, so I just started doing it and noticed an improvement with my mucus.\r\n

You have very good natural support advice InnerStar. Welcome aboard, and thanks for sharing. You mentioned zinc in another post. This is something important when fighting infection too. I\'ve found that taking a 1/4 cup of 20 ppm colloidal silver every 3 to 4 hours to be my best defense when I already have a possible infective situation coming on.\r\n

What do you do when your nostril is closed shut? II\'m using the neti pot again and pretty amazed how much better I\'m feeling and breathing again, but I\'m not sure it would work when I can\'t even breath out of one side? I know it\'s bad, but I\'ve been using Mucinex when it\'s that bad.

\r\nA friend of mine was telling me when he\'s sick he uses the neti pot, but then puts two packs of that solution in a cup of water and gargles with it and he swear it helps, especially with soar throats.\r\n

I tried taking 15,000mg of vitamin C a day, 10,000 iu of Vitamin D3 a day and 150mg of zinc every day. I would also drink a few cups of airborne, which is really just loaded in the same vitamins or more.

I also made garlic and ginger tea and drink probably 8 cups a day of it.

After so many days of barely getting better if not worse that I noticed green mucus coming up. I have a business meeting very soon that I can't miss as we've been preparing for 3 years for this meeting, so I ended up getting on antibiotics.

I really didn't want to take antibiotics, but really didn't know what else to do? I really hate having to take antibiotics, but I didn't see any improvements and I'm wondering what I could have done better or different next time?

My mother suggested instead of garlic tea that you make chicken noddle soap and put a lot of gloves of garlic in the soap and make sure you consume a lot of garlic. That might have helped more than the tea, but not sure what else I could have done different.
